This is like, just a pass-time chapter, just filling in the blanks so please stick with me <3

"Come on Greenie! We gotta get the bonfire started!" Newt said. I grabbed a torch and got ready to throw it with the keepers.

An hour into the party and me and Newt were sitting together by a log.

"Here, try this." He handed me a glass filled with a brown-ish liquid.

"You're not trying to poison me are you?" I said as I lifted the glass up to my face. I trusted Newt. I let the drink into my mouth, "jeez! That is disgusting." I said but I still swallowed it.

"Wow, you might be able to out-drink Gally if you can stomach that on your first go!" Newt told me.

"Well, I guess I'm used to it already." I had another gulp of it, it was disgusting yes, but it was nice. Made me feel all warm and a little dizzy.

"Now, now." Newt took the glass out of my hand -much to my complaint- "you can't get too drunk on your first night."

"Ugh fine. Anyway, what is there to do?"

"Well, Gally has started a fighting tourney thing between him and some of the gladers. I didn't want to do it before you ask."

"Can I fight him?" I was eager to show that I wasn't just 'some girl' that the box sent up. That I wasn't here just to be stared at.

"Well Greenie, that is up to you, and Gally is quite strong..." Newt was obviously trying to talk me out of it.

"Nope, I am doing this. I am going to fight Gally." Determined now, not eager, determined.

I walked over to the ring that the boys had set up, "Gally! My turn to fight you." I shouted.

"Pfft! You're a girl!"

"So?"

"I don't want to hurt you. It's an unfair advantage to me." I fumed at Gally's words.

"Fine, go easy on me then. I'm going to fight you." He saw I wasn't backing down any time soon. What am I getting myself into? Humiliation probably.

"Okay. Fine. Rules are simple. If I knock you down, I win. And vice versa. Once down, you have to stay down for five seconds then the other person wins. The game starts after Alby's countdown."

"Five! Four! Three! Two! One!" Alby shouted. As soon as he reached one, Gally lunged. I dodged easily and tripped him up. He fell to the floor and tried to knock my legs out from under me. It didn't work. I did like this back handspring thingy, shocking myself and other gladers. I then jumped onto Gally's back sending him tumbling to the ground, and because of me making myself heavier, he stayed down and I won.

The bonfire went on for another two hours, and then it was time for bed. I went to Newts hut and it was lovely.
