It all started when Lumine and her twin brother, Aether was traveling throughout the universe when they came across an Unknown "God" which has then separated both of them. The last thing Lumine could remember was her brother reaching out for her hand as she was being trapped into the darkness.
Lumine woke up one day stranded on a "land" not knowing how long has she been in slumber. Everything felt odd but mostly lonely.
As she was walking, she came across a weird-looking creature that was drowning and immediately went to get anything that was long enough to fish out the creature. After some brief moments, Lumine found out that she is currently at a continent called Tevyat and that creature is named Paimon. "A fairy perhaps" she thought to herself. Not wanting to ask too many questions, Paimon has decided to stick by Lumine and be her travel companion.
