Chapter 7: Good Morning Big Sister

Back at Wangshu Inn.

Lumine hasn't woken up yet. Paimon, Verr Goldet, and her husband were at the reception area discussing Lumine's health. Upon Xiao's arrival, he informs them that Lumine woke up last night. He summarised what has happened the night before without the inclusion of the vulnerable moments as it was rather inappropriate and unnecessary.

"That's great news! Now my husband and I can work without worries." Said Verr Goldet feeling relieved.

It has almost reach noon. Lumine was still asleep. Paimon and Xiao were in his room while Verr Goldet and her husband went back to work. They were worried that Lumine fell into slumber again. Qiqi also arrived at Wangshu Inn. She took the lift up and head to Xiao's room.

"Hello..." Qiqi knocked on the door.

She walked towards Lumine.

"... Big Sister... Wake up..." she starts hitting Lumine's arm.

"H—hey! Don't do that to her!" Paimon pointed out.

However, because of that, Lumine starts to move her body.

"Big Sister... Big Sister." Qiqi tries shaking Lumine up.

To their surprised Lumine eyes began to open.

"...mmm..." Lumine looked around. It was very blurry as she just woke up.

"LUMINE!!" Paimon shouted, hugging her tightly. Paimon started to cry again.

"H—huh..? Paimon..?" She rubbed her eyes while hugging onto Paimon. "Hey don't cry, I'm okay now. See, I'm awake."

She then realized Xiao and Qiqi were also there. She immediately took the blanket to cover her up.
"H—hello. I didn't know you both were here."

"Big Sister, you woke up." Qiqi tried smiling.

"Did you heal me Qiqi? Thank you so much. It's all because of you" Lumine patted Qiqi's head. Paimon was still hugging onto Lumine's body.

"It's all because of Big Brother Xiao. Big Brother Xiao came for Qiqi because Big Brother Xiao worried for Big Sister. Anyone that Big Brother cares for, Qiqi will care too."

Both Paimon and Lumine turned around and look at Xiao.

He scoffed. "Me? Care? Hmph."

"Big Brother Xiao, do not lie to Qiqi." She looks at him fiercely.

Xiao looked away while folding his arms.

Lumine giggles. She knew the truth after all.

Paimon brings Lumine to take a shower while both Qiqi and Xiao was on the floor where the Chef, Smiley Yanxiao cooks.  Both of them sit down at the table. They also went to order some food for themselves, Lumine and Paimon.

After Lumine has cleansed herself, she went downstairs to meet up with Qiqi and Xiao. Though before that, she greeted both Verr Goldet and her husband. Verr Goldet hugged her feeling relief that she felt better. Her husband handed Lumine the commission pay and bonus rewards. "Don't worry about the hospitality." Verr Goldet winked at Lumine.

Lumine bow to them with thanks.

"Hello, Lumine is back!" As she walked down the stairs.

"ah—Big Sister pretty. Is this why Big Brother Xiao likes Big Sis—"  Qiqi said monotonously.

"NO!"
"No."
Both Paimon and Xiao cut Qiqi off.

Lumine didn't know how to react. She simply laughs nervously. Paimon on the other hand kept on staring at Xiao immensely. Xiao also stared back at Paimon hinting Paimon to not mess with him.

Qiqi poke Lumine's arm and told her that Xiao has ordered the food for everyone. Luckily, the Chef, Smiley Yanxiao has finished cooking for everyone. He lays down the food on the table. Weirdly enough, Xiao's choice of food was Almond Tofu.

"That's an odd choice of food," Paimon said to Xiao.

"Hmph. I have no interest in mortal food. Cooking is tedious and the wait is long." Xiao scoffs.

"why is he so defensive?" Paimon whispers to Lumine.

"I can hear you." He frowns.

"The one thing I can manage to stomach is Almond Tofu.... don't ask me any more questions.... just eat."
Said Xiao aggressively.

Xiao is indeed an interesting person with an odd complex personality. It makes me want to get to know him even more. Lumine smiles to herself while she enjoys her grilled fish.
