A Day before Xiao's Birthday

"Hello, both of you, I have received a new commission from Wangsheng Funeral Parlor in Liyue Harbour. You are told to be there by noon." Said Katheryne.
"Noon?! Lumine, let's hurry up!" Paimon immediately pulled Lumine away from the reception area.
"Yes, I'm coming!" Lumine rushed over to Paimon.

"Since we are in Liyue, should we call out for Xiao?" Paimon asked as both of them head into Liyue Harbour.
Lumine shakes her head. "If anything, let's finished up the commissions first."

Outside Wangsheng Funeral Parlor

"Do we just head in...? There is no one guarding the door..." Paimon crosses Paimon's arms.
Lumine nodded as she gradually walks towards the entrance when she heard a deep voice from the back of her head.
"Hello, Traveller."
Both Paimon and Lumine turns around.
"Zhongli!" Paimon gasped.
"Surprised to see me?" Zhongli took a glance at Paimon and then look at Lumine.
"It's been a while since I last saw you, Zhongli. I hope that you've learned how to use Mora properly." Lumine coughed intentionally as she jokes about it.
"Mora. There's no need for it now. Simply partaking walks through the city when time permits without the use of Mora is enough."
"That means he still does not know how to use mora." Paimon giggled.
"Well then, let's get to business shall we?"
All three of them went inside and head into Zhongli's office. They sat at a round table and start to talk about the business.
"I call you here as I want to let you know that the young Adeptus's birthday is tomorrow. I would like you to head to Wangshu Inn to discuss with Verr Goldet regarding a gift for him. Do not worry, he's currently doing his other duties."
"Xi-I mean, his birthday is tomorrow?!" Paimon remembered that he can hear whenever his name is being spoken.
"-!!"
Lumine eyes widened.
"I think I know a perfect gift for him."
"Already? What is it?"
"Almond Tofu, but in a bigger size or larger quantity. He can only stomach that so if we can make it a whole cake size-"
"That's a good idea!" Paimon cut off Lumine's line.
"I see. Very out of the ordinary. Well then, I'll leave everything to you. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend due to some circumstances."
"Oh... but do you have anything for him?" Lumine asked.
Zhongli sighed. "To speak of the young Adeptus, still fulfilling his duty to this very day. Please, give these painkillers to him on my behalf."
"-and Paimon, do not eat it." As Zhongli reaches out Painkillers from his pocket and passed them on to Lumine.
"Hey! Paimon won't eat anything that tastes bitter!"

At Wangshu Inn

"Verr Goldet!" Paimon shouted her name as they rushed in.
"-?...Oh hello there!"
"Almond Tofu!" said Lumine as she slowly catches her breath. "Paimon... too fast." She glared at Paimon.
"Sorry Lumine. Paimon is excited..."
"Oh! Is this about... his birthday?" Verr Goldet raises one of her eyebrows.
"Yes. Will it be okay to make him almond tofu but in a whole-cake-size?" Lumine finally catches her breath.
"A whole-cake-size huh.... that would take quite a while... let's see... it's three in the afternoon...he will be back probably around midnight..." Verr Goldet mumbles to herself.
"Okay! I think it should be fine. It should be done by ten or eleven in the evening as there are many customers orders. I'll call you when it's ready." Assured Verr Goldet.
"Thank you!" Both Paimon and Lumine give a little bow.
"Oh wait- All of us here won't be able to celebrate together with him as he doesn't like things to be crowded with people. If you don't mind, you can find somewhere to surprise him with it. Ah- we will discuss more later once the almond tofu is done!"

In which so, both Paimon and Lumine begin to scout some places near Wangshu Inn. They've decided to surprise him on a small nearby hill with only a tree there.
While waiting, they've decided to help out with delivering the food to customers.
Time passes, it's finally 11pm. Smiley Yanxiao has also finished making Almond Tofu as big as a whole cake.
"Woah! That's one huge cake!" Paimon's mouth opened wide shaped like the letter 'O'.
"One big block of Almond Tofu, size of a cake. Wow, never thought I see this happening. Once again, you're amazing." Lumine tip toe and patted her hands on his shoulders.
"Of course! I hope he likes it."
"Well if it's the only thing he can eat..." Paimon covers Paimon's mouth to hold back laughter.
"Paimon..." Lumine elbowed Paimon.
"Alright alright. Thank you Verr Goldet and Chef Smiley! We will go to that location now! Please tell him to be there!" Paimon nodded.
"Yes, thank you both of you!"
Lumine then carried a box with Almond Tofu Cake inside. It was surprisingly quite heavy for a tofu texture. They walked slowly there in hope that nothing bad happens. Paimon helped in giving precise directions as Lumine can't really see the ground.
It took quite a while as there are stairs here and there. Also, it was slightly dim.
"Lumine, be careful!! Don't slip!" Exclaimed Paimon.
"-!! Don't scare me like that!" Lumine frowns at Paimon.
"Ahhh-Paimon's nervous!!"

Ultimately, they reached the destination. It took them a good fifteen minutes. The Almond Tofu Cake was ridiculously wiggly and fragile. Also because it's huge, there might be small cracks lining on the tofu which can turn into a flaw.
Lumine sat down by the tree and open the box to check to see if it's fine. They both sighed in relief to see that it was still perfectly fine.
