"—You will just end up in regrets" Xiao glares at Lumine with his very cold eyes.
It went silent again. He was feeling vulnerable for a moment but now, he's back to himself. "Let's leave." He said.
"There's lightning. Isn't it dangerous?" Lumine responded.
"Hah, many mortals fear lightning. Do you too? Incomprehensible. Fear of something so common." He stood up looking down at Lumine. It felt bone-chilling as if he's judging her to the max.
The gaze of his, the pressure, the aura weighs a ton on her which brings her unable to respond nor stand up. It was not only about the lightning. Xiao is badly injured. Even if he's fine with it, he should at least rest especially when he has the time to, Lumine thought.
"Hmph. Weakling. I'm leaving."
"W—wait!" Lumine stretches her arm to reach him but he already left. He disappears into thin air.
"....he left." She mumbled to herself.
It has been probably about half an hour since he left. She hopes that Paimon is fine and so does Xiao. Paimon should be alright as Verr Goldet probably gave Paimon lots of delicious snacks. That thought itself made Lumine giggled.
Lumine couldn't deny that it was pretty breezy in the cave. Her clothes are almost dry. Her body felt cold. Thankfully, the rain almost stopped. She sighed in disbelief at what has happened so far.
"Xiao..." she thought of him. She still remembers what he told her; speak his name and he will be there. "Will he be here when he left?" She asked herself.
Whenever she was left alone, especially in the dark, many thoughts often engraved onto her mind. It feels rather lonely and sad. Placing her gaze onto the lighted torched, she suddenly remembers her brother. She was in a dark place, her only light source was him reaching out for her.
Lumine began to quiver, her throat tightens. She tries to not let tears run down her cheeks. She is constantly reminding herself that he will be okay, that she will find him one day. But, those thoughts turn into agony. She rapidly blinks, hugging herself tightly. She couldn't hold on to it anymore. Tears began to flow steadily. Little did she know, she fell asleep.
