Chapter III: When it all began

*Few days later, Y/N's POV*

I was currently at my and Pyrrha's room looking after Felix... he was sleeping peacefully...

You: "Felix Bale.... I wonder why Susan chose you instead of me..." I looked at the picture Pyrrha gave me and told me that it was in Susan's locker when we were on that mission in V/N... that time when I killed the Morph mom...

The picture was fading already... there were me and Felix and between us was my first ever crush... someone I didn't manage to protect... Susan Everflame... apparently a daughter of the most peaceful faunus protestors on Remnant... there were two hearts drawn... one around my face the other around Felix's...

But mine was pierced with an arrow... That could mean she loved me more than him... but... why did she choose him then? Is it because I was so poor?

A knock was heard on the doors

You: "Enter... but be quiet. Felix is sleeping." In came Alissa with Desmond, Jill and Susan...

Alissa: "Hi dad..."

You: "Hello girls... where is Blaze?"

Alissa: "He went to prepare a room for Desmond at our house..."

You: "I see..."

Susan: "What's that picture you're holding?"

Jill: "Will you tell us?" Her cat tail started swinging from side to side...

Alissa: "It's that picture mom found."

Susan: "What are you talking about?"

You: "Come here." They did so... Alissa putting Desmond to Felix on the way...

Jill: "Who are these people?"

You: "The guys are me and my childhood friend who unfortunately isn't among the living anymore, Felix Bale..."

Susan: "Is that why you name Felix like that?"

You: "Yes but... he's not the only one who we named after my childhood friends."

Jill: "Who else could it be?"

You: "Susan obviously... after all you and Alissa are both adopted..."

Susan: "Me?"

You: "Yes... the girl in the middle... was Susan Everflame... and she was my first ever crush... but she isn't alive anymore as well."

Jill: "What happened to them dad?"

Alissa: "If I remember correctly Morph happened."

Susan: "You were with dad Alissa?"

You: "No but I told her before... when they died I didn't even know Alissa or Pyrrha..."

Susan: "Why are there hearts though?"

You: "Because Susan loved both of us..."

Jill: "And the one around you is pierced... could that mean she dated you dad?"

You: "She didn't date me but Felix... and that pierced heart... I'm trying to figure it out."

Susan: "I heard that you killed Morph as the very first person..."

You: "Yes and do you know why they are called Morph?"

Alissa: "Is it good idea to tell them dad?"

You: "Felix and Desmond are both sleeping and Jill with Susan are old enough to know... well girls Morph were humans before."

Jill: "W-What? They were humans before?"

You: "Yes..."

Susan: "Who would turn them into grimm?"
