Chapter VIII: Frozen to the bone

*Y/N's POV*

???: "You left me! You left ME!!! YOU LEFT ME!!!"

I looked around... seeing only Susan Everflame sitting next to me crying...

You: "I didn't leave you..."

Susan: "You promised you will stay with me! You broke it."

You: "I had to! We'd be both dead!"

Susan: "You should die with me." I looked at her... her fox ears twitching, her hair shining due to the moon even though we were in a cave.

You: "Susan I would never leave you... you meant so much for me but... you died... I had to... I was not controlling myself." Suddenly a laughter was heard across the cave... from the shadows.

???: "Oh poor little Y/N... leaving my girlfriend to die... what man are you? Just a pathetic weakling... no wonder she chose me over you."

You: "Felix..."

Felix: "Don't call me that!"

What's going on? They never were this hostile...

???: "This is a nice little party you have here..." I could recognize that voice everywhere... it was the voice of destruction... the voice of my sister.

You: "You!"

Jane: "Aren't you happy to see me brother?"

Susan: "Your sister told us... that everything you and your mom did... was just an act... you just used us!"

You: "I would never!"

Susan: "Just die!" Her skin changed, her azure eyes turned red... she became a Morph..
and attacked me... but before she could do anything a light pierced through her and the voices in the shadow disappeared.

You: "What?"

???: "Don't believe what my evil self said..." The grimm Susan disappeared and right behind her... another one... an adult version of her... she was beautiful as ever...

You: "Susan?" She smiled so brightly it made my heart melt.

Susan: "Yes it is me Y/N... I miss you, Felix and your mom does too... don't believe what you heard... I could never speak like that to you... I told you before in dreams... and I will tell you again... I love you..."

She floated closer to me.

You: "What are you doing?"

Susan: "Kissing you what else?" She did so... her lips touching mine... it felt so real...

You: "Susan... what I would give for you to be there with me..." She smiled yet again. Her azure eyes glowing ever so slightly.

Susan: "But I am..." She placed her hand on my chest... where the heart is... now beating so fast I'm surprised I didn't hear it before. "I'm there with you in your heart... I'm glad you keep memories of me..."

You: "You know I was wondering what if you and me had family..." She giggled.

Susan: "You're so silly sometimes... you have Pyrrha... why think about me? I'm just a fragment of your memory."

You: "You were never an adult though."

Susan: "Silly indeed... I just borrowed the body build of your wife... it is not mine..."

You: "Oh I see."

Susan: "You have a family to look after... dear Y/N... I wish you the best of luck. Goodbye for now... I'll see you some other day." She disappeared and I was left alone..
