Chapter X: Mistralian peace

A/N: I hid a title of my next book in this chapter and to be honest it's pretty obvious so you shouldn't have problems finding it. Can you find it though?

*Alissa's POV*

Shane was an angel... she helped with everything even after her work hours were over... Blaze was lying in the bed still sick as I was just reading a book and wondering how is dad and mom...

No wonder I was worried about them... especially dad.

Please just please be okay dad... and you too mom.

There was a light knock on my doors.

Alissa: "Who is it?"

Shane: "It's me Mrs. L/N I'm here to check on you before I head out for today...." It was really late so it surprised me Shane was still there.

Alissa: "Oh I'm fine Shane but what about you? Do you get enough sleep?"

Shane: "You don't have to worry about that Mrs. L/N...."

Alissa: "I have to worry Shane, you're an employee in here, one that spends here every single minute lately... if you are tired stay home for a day or two... I think I can manage it for the time being."

Shane: "It's really okay... I'm not tired at all."

Alissa: "Alright... you can go home now Shane.... I don't want to waste your time any longer."

Shane: "You're not wasting it Mrs. L/N... but anyways good night..."

Alissa: "Good night Shane, sleep well."

My cat ears twitched as I heard the main doors open and close... she left.. I yawned and stood up. Blaze was already asleep like a baby... I kissed his forehead... he moved a little but remained asleep.

Blaze: "Alissa... I... love you." I smiled at that... he was sleeptalking. I left the room and went to check on Desmond and Felix... the two had separate cradles. I slowly opened the doors not to wake them up. The moonlight shining through the window as I checked on them.

Desmond's hair started growing... they were white like mine but his eyes were same as Blaze's... he had white cat ears too. Felix on the other hand had H/C hair and green eyes.

He moved a little so I went to check on him... seems like he didn't have any nightmares and moved only because his body wanted to.

Sleep well you two... I left the room slowly and returned to my own.. I lied next to Blaze and slowly fell asleep.

The next day arrived, sun was shining too brightly into my face... I woke up and looked around, blaze was nowhere to be found... my nose picked up a nice scent from the kitchen and it was getting stronger. The doors opened and in between them was Blaze carrying a plate full of food.

Alissa: "Blaze? What are you doing up?"

Blaze: "I felt a little better so I decided to make you a breakfast... a-as a repayment."

Alissa: "You didn't have to do that at all."

He went towards me placing the plate on our bed... there were a lot of things but mainly fish.

Blaze: "I wanted to..." He kissed me... "Did you sleep well?"

I nodded and stuffed my face with the food... to say it was delicious was understatement.

Alissa: "Blaze this is really awesome! I didn't know you could cook so well!"

Blaze: "Ah I uhhh... tried."

Alissa: "You did really well... but... how are the kids?"

Blaze: "They were still sleeping when I checked on them."
