Chapter 34 // Childhood Friends

"Jin, stay here. We'll be back after buying your ice cream, what flavor do you want?"
"I want plain vanilla ice cream, Mom! Can I also request for another flavor?"
"You sure does love ice cream huh?" Mom chuckled. "Okay, what is it?"
I automatically smiled when Mom said that. "Strawberry!"
"Okay, we will be back." Sis patted my head before they left. I also started going around of the playground to play with the other kids.
"Catch me if you can!" I stuck my tongue out to the other kid when he can't catch me. I ran and ran until we decided to play hide and seek.
"Seokjin!" I heard Mom's voice looking for me.
"Go ahead, I'll go start hiding too." I said on my playmates before running back to where Mom and Sis is.
"Here you go." Mom kissed my cheek. "Are you sure you can go home by yourself?" She asked and I nodded.
"Of course, Mommy! I'm already big!" I giggled.
"Silly! You're only 12!" Jianna noona laughed making frown.
"Stop it, Jianna." Mom chuckled. "Okay, then. When you got home just tell your nanny what you want, understand?"
I smiled widely before nodding continuously. The playground is only near on our house so there's nothing to worry about.
"Yes, mommy!"
"Okay then, take care!" They both waved a goodbye to me before leaving.
When they left, I held my two ice cream cup tightly before I started looking for a place to hide. I hid on a big tree just behind the playground. I sat there peacefully before eating my vanilla ice cream first.
"Hahaha! Your family doesn't like you because you look ugly! You're a monkey! Hahaha!" I heard some voices laughing not far from my position.
Out of my curiosity I went where the noice came from. And there I saw two boys and two girls bullying the poor girl in the middle.
"What? Talk! You can't fight because it's true, right?" The others girl walked towards the poor girl, pushing its shoulder until it fall down on the floor.
"Your Mom doesn't like you! Of course who would want to have a daughter who look like monkey!" There, they laughed again.
I looked at the girl who they bullied, to my surprise it wasn't crying unlike the other kids who is such a crybaby. It just keep on looking down and biting its lip.
It made me smile. What a brave girl.
But what they're doing is wrong. "Yah! Stop that!" I shouted as I put down my two ice cream on a safe place.
"And who are you? If I were you I'll just leave as if I didn't saw anything. Because this monkey doesn't deserved to be protected. Her family don't even like her hahaha!" The boy who looks very thin laughed.
"Hey, wait... I think he's the son of the rich family there."
"And so what? Do you think I care?"
"Well, you don't care if I sue you all together with your family. Do you want to experience on living at the rat house?" To what I said scared them a bit.
"You w-won't--"
"I'll do it." I took my phone out of my pocket and I was about to call some random number when they all hurriedly left. Making me smirked.
