"MITCH! MITCH NO, DONT DO IT!" Jerome screeched as he reached out his paw towards the man who was hovering over the edge of a cliff. That man was Mitch.

"I LOVE YOU PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME!" Jerome cried again, tears falling from his eyes as he took another step forward. Mitch turned around slowly.

"I'm sorry... Biggums..." He murmured and leaned back, just as Jerome raced forward to grab him. Jerome's arms wrapped around thin air and Mitch plummeted towards the sharp rocks and raging water down below. Jerome collapsed to the ground, his eyes wide and a paw over his mouth. Tear still poured from his eyes like a waterfall after a storm. A quiet splash was heard down below and everything was quiet in that moment, not even the water hitting the rocks was heard. I stood there motionless, unable to move. What was wrong with me? Why couldn't I have helped? I looked down at my hands to see they weren't there. Was I invisible?

"Mitch... No...." Jerome whispered, still covering his mouth.

"NOOOOO!"

I sat up with tears in my eyes and I clutched the fabric of the hospital gown by my chest. Tears were falling down my face as I sat there and sucked in shaky breaths, my body shivering slightly. Adam, who was sleeping next to me on a chair because he refused to leave my side, jolted awake with a cut off snore. He looked around, slightly confused, until his eyes landed on me, who was having a panic attack. He stood up quickly and wrapped his arms around me, climbing into the bed as he held me. I didn't even care, at that moment, that his body was squished against mine. I buried my head in his chest and sobbed, wrapping my own arms around him.

Adam whispered things into my ears that I couldn't quite catch and I felt my body slowly loose the tension and relax.

After a few moments all that left my mouth were broken whimpers and sniffles. Adam patted my head softly and nuzzled his nose in my hair.

"S-S-Sorry..." I muttered, curling my head in tighter to my chest so my hair fell over my face, hiding it like a curtain. Adam pulled my chin up by an index finger.

"It's fine, Ty. I would cross oceans just to be by your side." He said softly, making my heart skip a beat.

"Ty what are you doing? You are inevitably falling in love with him aren't you?" My thoughts grumbled at me. Yeah, I guess I was falling for him. But don't you judge me. How can you not love this dork? Exactly. So I don't want to hear it from you.

I starred into his shaded eyes for a few moments before searching his face. I don't know why, but I decided at that moment I needed to drink in every detail of his face.

"C-Can I see y-your eyes?" I asked, still sniffling a little. Pink spread over Adams cheeks quickly and he ducked his head, bitting his lip slightly. It was honestly the fucking cutest thing I have ever laid my eyes on. Shit, I was really falling for him. I inwardly groaned at the thought.

"U-Uh... Well..." Adam searched for words as he sat in front of me, his lip still slotted between his teeth. And I do say, he had really awkwardly sharp canines.

"It's just... Y-You have to promise me... T-That you w-won't l-laugh at them..." He whimpered shakily. I was slightly confused on why he was so hesitant and scarred to show me what lay beyond his shades, but I didn't question him. Instead, I just sat there in silence and waited for him to continue.

Adam reached up and skimmed the side of the shades with his fingertips, flinching at his own touch. He slowly wrapped his fingers around the side and shakily sucked in a breath.
