((A/N: Oh my god Chapter Eleven?! And yes there is a shower in hospital bathrooms... I think...))
"Have you ever heard of closing the goddamn door, NO!" I sang as I rinsed my grimy hair. I was still smiling like a complete idiot at Adam's comment, and I actually felt happy.
Shocking I know. I am never happy. I am always guilty or sad or anxiety-filled, but for once in the last couple months, I felt almost free. Like I was flying. But you know, I don't have wings. That'd be fucking awesome if I did.
I stepped out of the shower and grinned at my reflection. My eyes where shining brighter, a red-brown color instead of a murky dirt brown. Something about the way my skin seemed to glow and my smile that was glued onto my face made my heart soar. Wow, it feels good to be happy.
I slipped my short-sleeved shirt over my head and pulled on my black skinny jeans. As I pushed my feet into my purple converse, I laughed.
"It also feels good NOT to have my butt waving out the back." I laughed to myself as I tied the laces tightly, making sure the shoes wouldn't slip off my feet halfway down the parking lot. I stood up straight and went to the mirror, fixing my hair so it wasn't sticking up every-which-way like it usually does anyway no matter how hard I try to keep it in its place.
What can I say, even my hair is too fucking badass.
I turned on my heel and practically skipped out of the bathroom, opening the door before I body slammed into it. Though I do that quite a lot, I'd rather not have to stay in the hospital any longer.
"Sky!" I yelled, drawing out the 'y' in a very whiney manner.
"Ty!" Sky replied back in the same tone I was using, looking up from his phone with a smirk on his face.
"I'm bored." I whined, slinging my upper body onto his lap and brought my hand up to rest against my forehead like all the girls do in dramatic movies.
I swear, underneath all my manly badassery, I am a girl. Maybe I'm just a girl at heart. Who knows.
"Well, get off my lap you dinkle-do and we can go get something to eat," Sky said, a blush tinting over his cheeks. I stood up and put a hand over my heart as I fluttered my eyes.
"Is the Adam Dahlburg asking me, Tyler Lox, on a date?" I said, swooning like a teenage girl that was asked out by the head of the football team. Even though it was an act on the outside, I was screaming a little on the inside. What if he is asking me out? No one has like me for such a long time. Except Mitch. But you know, in a brother sort of way. I haven't had a romantic interest either until Adam. It is quite weird to feel those butterflies again.
"Mayyyyyyyybe," Sky said cheekily, standing up and grabbing my elbow, "so we better get going!"
I glanced at the clock and giggled to myself quietly.
"You know, it is nine A.M. right?" I asked, placing a finger to my lower lip as though to be thinking.
"Shut up you dinkle-do."
"Is dinkle-do my new nickname?"
"Yes it is, dinkle-do, let's go I'm getting stir crazy."
"I don't like the nickname very much."
"Tyyyyyyyy,"
"Okay, okay let's go."
Sky dragged me out of the room as I stumbled after him, laughing at his eagerness. He really WAS stir crazy. My damp hair brushed against my cheek softly as Sky dragged me into the elevator. He pressed the ground floor button and tapped his foot impatiently as the doors closed.
