Val's POV

I was back in Valentine's cell for the third day in a row. I knew the guards were scared since I wasn't even using the Agony rune on him but instead lashing out and hitting him like he had done Jonathan and I when we were kids. The only difference was I wasn't using a whip full of electrum.

"Where's the Cup?" I asked my father.

"I'm not telling." I growled and once again my fist met his jaw.

"You tortured us. That Agony rune is nothing compared to the pain I felt. The pain he felt. Now where the fuck is the Mortal Cup!" I shout in his face. He laughed and this time I kicked him in the legs. Instead of asking again I punched him a few more times. "Where's the goddamn Cup?" I ask him.

He shrugged as he spit out some blood but never answered. I looked down at my weapons belt and pulled out my stele and activated his Iratze as I heard the elevator doors open. I then activated his Agony rune and smirked in satisfaction as he screamed.

"What agonizing memory is it that you're reliving?" I asked as he stopped.

"You should think about a position higher up in the Clave, Ms. Morgenstern." I turned and saw the Inquisitor.

"I'd rather stay here. It's my home. Welcome back, Inquisitor." I told her. She nodded in appreciation.

"Has he said anything about the location of the Cup?" She asked.

"No. You'd think having his eldest daughter question him would make him talk." I tell her. The two of us look at him as he smirks. "Wipe it off your face before I break a bone." I snap. "Haven't had the chance to do that yet." I walk over to the wall, leaning against it, and let the Inquisitor take my place in front of Valentine.

She activated the Agony rune and I smirked once more as he screamed.

"You!" Valentine shouted.

"I could keep going... or you can tell me where you hid the Mortal Cup." Imogen said.

"Now where's the fun in that?" Valentine asked her.

"You know this quest of yours to collect the three Mortal Instruments to raise the Angel Raziel, it was a fool's errand." Imogen told him. I rolled my eyes and blocked out the conversation, opting to pick at the chipped nail polish. "Valentine, you and I both know the Cup can control demons. In the wrong hands, it could be catastrophic." I heard Imogen say. I looked up and noticed Jace and Clary walking up to the glass.

"In your hands, I'm a dead man. Especially, in my eldest daughter's." I smirked at his words.

"Oh, how right you are." I say as I push myself off the wall and stalk back over to him. "Nineteen Shadowhunters died in your assault on this Institute, along with hundreds of Downworlders that you massacred with the Soul Sword." I told my father. "Justice will be served." I add as Imogen activated the Agony rune once more. Imogen and the guards leave the room while I stay in the cell. "Where's the Cup?" I asked him, nicely, switching tactics.

"Don't know." He replied. He flinched when I let the black take over my eyes and the shadows danced on my hands. I once again found myself with bloody hands as I punched him in the face a few times. "Where's the Cup?" He smirked and I applied pressure on his arm. "Not smirking now are ya?" I ask as he screams in pain.

"She has a lot of anger toward him doesn't she?" I heard someone ask.

"You would too if you were tortured by your father after being abandoned by your mother." Someone said.

"Where's the damn Cup?"

"Get it through your head Valkyrie. I'm not telling you just so you can kill me after you get it." I growled and punched him in the face again.
