Chapter XI (I): Boxed up
"Barty, it's very nice to be here, tied together ... literally," Ten mutters, trying to free himself from the spiral of fabric that surrounds him. The scarf has twisted all around them, coming to squeeze them in a single involuntary grip around their backs, luckily it has not rolled around their heads holding them that way, but the length of the scarf remains excessive in any case. "But I have to go back to work for you," he tries to reason with him after a moment of silence, continuing to unroll the scarf.
Grumbling some disappointment, the Dark Wizard lets him go.
"And you should take off that scarf too, now," he advises him.
"Whaat?! Never!" Barty lively protests even pouting. "It makes me happier than a bunch of Muggles and MudBloods to torture!" he says, his eyes shining with a crazy light.
-Of course, it would be amazing if I could wear it while I torture some Muggles or MudBloods... I definitely have to charm this scarf not to get it dirty!- he plots, even if he's careful not to express it aloud, a smile that arises spontaneously on his face."I know that, in your own way, what you said is very sweet ..." the Doctor rolls his eyes. "But, that's it, look at Kevin and Drinky, I gave them some gifts too and it's not like they always bring them around," he tries to find a valid argument.
"But it's different... it's a gift from you... things would change for them if Kevin gave Drinky a gift or vice versa," the determined Death Eater replies.
Hearing their names mentioned interrupts the kiss between the two. It's Kevin to walk away first, Drinky follows his lips with his as if attracted by a magnet, before noticing the amused gaze of his brainfucker. However, they remain hugged to each other.
"As soon as the damn twenty-four hours expire, I'll order you to give me a present" Kevin mutters."What?! After everything you put me through, you would even expect a gift from me! The hell I'm going to give you a gift, you can kiss my ass!" Drinky snaps, parting from him.
Kevin looks at him mischievously, running his tongue over his lips.
"Oh well, yes, even that could be a very appreciated gift... can we do it at your place or at mine?" the persuader makes him smile, Drinky also pats him on the shoulder in an amused way.
"Let me remind you that you are not alone ... " the Doctor mutters, very embarrassed..
-What's goin on? In a moment they kissed and now they also want to go to bed together? It's not right! My Second Dark Lord and I should be first!" Barty ponders, as envy is devouring him.
"Uh, right. Do you want to attend too? Shall we do at midnight in Kevin's room?" Peter shocks everyone, only to realize how they are looking at him. "Well, what is it? I'm used to giving people a show... usually it's about fictional action and magic, but it's nice to broaden your horizons!" he clicks his tongue, impertinently."You'll come to my room for midnight, but no audience!" Kevin corrects him.
"Barty, you have to take off that scarf!" the Time Lord wisely returns to the main topic.
"Why?" the other looks hurt.
"I am not telling you to take it off forever, use it only at night. During the day you could lose it, you could break it, it is easier for it to get entangled in something...""I will cast a spell on it, against loss and damage." the Wizard promptly replies.
"What if we get out of here and someone steals it from you?" the Doctor relaunches.
"First I wouldI find this scarf again, even if I had to use all the darkest magic at my disposal, and when I find out who dared to do that, whoever it is ... oh, how I will make them regret it so, so much!" Barty grins evil, stroking both the scarf and the wand."Okay, bad example," Ten recognizes. "So let's suppose that..."
Something interrupts him: a very melancholy music.
It is a voice that everyone knows all too well.
"When I was young
