"Beck, it's here," I said, stating the obvious.
Jumping down, I moved to help the hundreds of people running away from the scene, hoping to make the process a bit faster.
Screaming started from the base of the Ferris Wheel and I saw Ned and Betty at the top.
"Peter, what the hell happened to keeping everyone at the opera?" I asked, agitation clear in my voice.
"I did! I made sure everyone was there! They must've left when they saw me leave," Peter whined. I heard some grunts and watched as he rammed a large sign or something into the fire Elemental.
A familiar webbing attached to the fire hydrant that was close by and it was soon ripped from the ground. Water sprayed everywhere, and it momentarily stopped the Elemental.
It didn't take long for the thing to reform and its next attack was aimed directly at Peter.
"Spider-man! Don't go to the carousel! That'll fuel him!" I shouted across.
My words came too late, and the thing smashed down on the metal-filled contraption. As Peter flew through the sky, I decided now would be a good time to be helpful.
Slipping on my sling ring quickly, I created a portal directly below where Peter was flying, so he wouldn't completely crash and burn.
"Beck! It got stronger from the carousel!" Peter called out after landing.
"Did I not just say that?" I asked.
More shouting commenced from above us, mostly calling out my name.
Peter frantically looked between the Ferris Wheel and the Elemental.
I sighed deeply. "Go take care of Ned and Betty, I'll help Mysterio with this thing."
Mysterio and I started to maneuver around the monster, working with our beams to hopefully make it take some damage.
His attacks continued to cause a lot more damage, but mine weren't proving to be useless. I felt like I was hitting something inside the Elemental instead of the Elemental itself.
I portaled myself closer and tried the shielding tactic like I did last Elemental on a smaller scale. This time it was the hand. Apparently, however, this one was smarter. My attack only pushed me straight towards the ground fast and hard.
I sat dazed on the ground for a couple seconds before realizing that his fist was coming down yet again. I covered my head with my arms; like that'll do anything.
Opening my eyes when I didn't feel impact, I saw Mysterio had surrounded us, but the Elemental had still successfully attacked the ground causing the Ferris Wheel to tip.
It's focus was yet again on it, and Mysterio's cover was gone in an effort to attack the beast again.
I got up and joined Peter at the Ferris Wheel. He webbed up to it, but it didn't make an impact; something else stopped it in its path.
Watching Peter's webs project whatever it was down, I thought I saw a glimpse of something like a projector lens?
I was immediately brought back from my thoughts when Ned's screaming continued. I portaled up to the basket of the attraction while Peter steadied it.
When I looked up again, it looked as if Beck was about to go ram himself directly into the Elemental.
"Whatever happens to me, I'm glad we met." Beck nodded, before heading directly for its center.
Not wanting to watch, I turned my focus to Ned and Betty. "Alright you two. Have you ever been through a portal before?"
Neither of them were paying attention to me though, because Beck was too busy playing the sacrificial hero.
