Two weeks had past and he had gotten a hang of it, sort of. There was still so much he had to learn.

He and the boys had become friends, even him and Liam. Or at least they endured each other.

Niall was friends with everyone who met him and they loved him in an instant. Liam hanged out a lot with the other werewolves but he made sure to spend time with them as well. Zayn seemed to prefer his own company but neither Niall nor Harry would have that and dragged him along.

And then there was Harry. Louis was closest to him. He was really special. He somehow managed to make him feel less terrible about being a vampire. He was crushing on him pretty hard but that was obviously something he kept to himself.

His vampire classes went well, all but the control your fangs class. It didn't matter how hard he tried. Those suckers just popped out whenever they felt like it. At least he was doing good in his bloodthirst class. He didn't have to drink every other second anymore. He had become quite good at controlling his hunger, as long as he made sure to drink regularly. The boys didn't as much as lift an eyebrow anymore when they all sat down to eat and he loved them for it.

He was laying in his bed, trying to do some homework when Harry came crashing inside his room.
"Lou! They're showing a Charlie Chapin movie in the library. Come on! We need to find good seats before it gets crowded."

Louis doubted that. Who wants to watch a bunch of old silent movies? Well, Harry of course. That didn't surprise him at all. He smiled fondly.
"Charlie Chaplin huh?"

"Yes, I just love his movies. Please say that you want to go with me. The others have already turned me down." Harry pouted adorably.

"Oh, I'm the last alternative then. Sloppy second." Louis teased.

Harry's eyes grew wide and he looked really miserable.
"Of course not! Never! You're my favorite, but don't tell the other that I said that. They might get sad."

Louis laughed. How could anyone be that cute and innocent and just... man, he needed to get a grip.
"I was just joking Hazza. I would love to go with you. You're my favorite too and I have no trouble with you telling the others that, especially Liam."

Harry giggled.
"Stop it."

Louis got up from the bed and they headed to the library. As he had foreseen there were only two other students in there. Harry looked confused.
"Where's everybody? It starts in five."

"You're so fucking cute. I don't think anyone else will show up." Louis answered amused.

"You think I'm cute?" Harry asked with glittery eyes and blushed cheeks.

"I think you're stunningly beautiful." Louis replied without thinking and bit his tongue.

But Harry just beamed.
"So are you! Where do you wanna sit?"

Harry thought he was beautiful? Well, he had called him gorgeous when they first met so he shouldn't be surprised but his stomach erupted into butterflies.
"Next to you."

Harry giggled.
"Of course we're gonna sit together. Upfront?"

"Sure." Louis agreed. He really didn't care.

They took a seat and the movie started shortly after that.
"The Kid, I haven't seen it. You?" Harry asked with his head turned in Louis's direction.

"No, first time." Louis smiled.

Harry grinned and turned his eyes back to the screen. He immediately got into the movie and talked loudly to it.
"Noooo! Don't leave your baby."

Louis looked at Harry instead. He was so precious, talking to the characters like they could hear him.
"Yaaay! The tramp. There! Find the baby! It's right there!" Harry said and pointed at the screen.

The two other people who tried to watch the movie as well sighed loudly. Louis turned his head to glare at them and showed them his fangs who fortunately decided to show up right on time. They gasped and left the room. Louis smirked and glanced at the screen. Harry was laughing at a scene where the tramp tried to care for a baby and Louis smiled fondly at him. There was a five-year time jump. Harry grabbed his hand in excitement.
"Oh, look at that adorable little boy. Aaaw, they work together."

Louis didn't remove his hand. Instead, he turned his palm upwards and braided their fingers together, waiting for Harry's reaction but it didn't come. Harry just held his hand like it was a natural thing to do. Louis's heart jumped in his chest.

They continued to watch the movie and Harry was talking all the way through it. Louis laughed at the tramp occasionally but mostly he just smiled at Harry. When the police came to take the boy Harry's lower lip started to wobble. "Noooo!"

Soon he was sobbing and Louis squeezed his hand to comfort him.
"Don't take him!" Harry cried out.

Then the strangest thing happened. Harry started to glow. His hand got really warm and Louis let go of it and stared at Harry. His wings came out, almost knocking Louis off his chair, and he was floating in the air, sparks flying everywhere.
"Harry! Calm down. It's just a movie."

Harry closed his eyes and took a deep breath and he fell down on his seat again.
"Sorry, I can't really control it when I get emotional. I'm okay, you can hold my hand again."

Louis just hesitated briefly before he took Harry's hand in his once more, freaking out internally over the fact that Harry wanted to hold his hand. Why? Well, he wasn't complaining.

A couple of minutes later the end credits started to roll. Harry turned to look at him with a blissful smile.
"That was soo good. Wasn't it Lou?"

Louis didn't want to admit that he had spent most of the movie starting at Harry instead of the screen.
"Great!"

They were still holding hands but as long as Harry didn't withdraw his, Louis kept his hand where it was. Harry leaned his head against Louis's shoulder with a happy sigh.
"This was nice. Let's do it again sometime soon."

Louis had no intention to turn down an opportunity like this if it prevented itself again. He knew he was playing with fire. He has learned in his magicals law class that relationships between species weren't illegal but it wasn't accepted. That was so fucking stupid!
