After sending that message to Alan I had a lot of thoughts. What if he was just messing around? What would he think of my response? What have I done?

It took me almost an hour to get ready for school the next day. I hate Fridays. On any normal day I would have thrown on whatever outfit I could find in my wardrobe but a school uniform needs a certain perfection. I decided to tie my hair in a neat bun and I had no make-up except for nude lipstick. Why was I putting so much effort into my look? Our uniform is a white short-sleeved blouse (in summer), a blue skirt with inverted pleats which is above the knees, of course, a maroon plus blue tie and blue blazer or Jersey. For boys, it's grey trousers, white shirts, and the same tie and blazer.

Today I decided to wear my blazer since it's summer and I had on my short white socks along with black school shoes. Too much for one day trouble, I tell you. I rushed down the stairs and what I saw almost made me faint. Alan was having breakfast in my kitchen. What the...

"Hey, Kiki you are just In time for breakfast. That's a surprise," Carrie says. Wow just wow Carrie why don't you bring along my childhood photos while you still at it. Kiki seriously? Now the demon in black will have me for lunch.

"Morning Carrie, hie Alan," I greet them and take my seat at the table.

"Hey kiki," Alan responds and I glare at him.

"What? Miss Carrie was just telling me some interesting facts about you here and I love the name kiki," He smirks and I make a mental note to strangle Carrie sometime. Ok, that's drastic but hey the Vampire was getting leverage on me.

"You don't say. When did you get here?" I ask him whilst piling my plate with food.

"Fifteen minutes ago," he answers and with sadness, I note that this is the first time I'm having breakfast with another person who isn't Carrie.

Amid my shock, I had forgotten to notice that Alan was wearing a school uniform and it looked good on him. He of course had on his black hoodie as usual but he had tried to make an effort.

"You know kiki the uniform looks good on you. You almost look normal if I might say," Alan continues and I stare at him incredulously. Was that a compliment?

"And I see you still decided to add your Vampire hoodie."

"What a sweet girl you are Kiki. You were supposed to thank me not insult me."

"Call me that one more time and I will pour this hot coffee all over your face I swear to God," I say and Carrie bursts out laughing. I had forgotten she was in the kitchen.

"You two are so funny but please do continue I'm enjoying the show so much," She says and leaves the kitchen.

"What do you mean I almost seem normal?" I ask him annoyed.

"Never mind that and I saw your message last night Ki.." He stops when I glare at him and laughs. Oh God, no now I will never hear the end of it. To my surprise, I blush.

"It was a typo ok. I mean it was just a mistake, stop teasing me," I retort.

"Ok, ok chill let's go if you are done eating I'm sure you can't afford any more run-ins with Scott."

"Ok let me grab my bags," I say and grab my laptop bag, backpack along with my drawing board.

"Umm, why do you have all that stuff today?" Alan inquires.

"It's Friday and I have technical graphics today. I take that as my practical so I will spend half of my day in the workshop," I answer and I see him looking at me differently.

"I saw that you chose music as your practice. At least I don't have to tutor you that as well," I continue when he doesn't say anything.

"Yeah, I prefer music and you must be smart to take that as your practice. Do you like music Kiara?"
