Artemis kept glancing at me and smirking. She was enjoying the fact that she knew all my shenanigans and if she told my parents I could be forced to leave Victoria Falls.

"So how was school today guys?" Dad asked.

"It was great Mr. Adams. Kiara attended all her lessons today," Artemis answered. All of us glared in her direction. By all of us, I mean Shane, Alan, and I.

Mom looked at all of then focused on Artemis, "What does that mean?"

"It means today we had all the Subjects so Kiara attended all of her lessons," Alan answered still glaring at Artemis.

"Yeah, that's what she meant Aunt. You know she would never miss a lesson right?" Shane also added.

Relief washed over my mother's face and she continued eating her rabbit food. Artemis smiled and dug into whatever my mom was also eating. She had chosen to have the same meal whilst the rest of us enjoyed homemade burgers with barbeque Chicken on the side.

How they had all gotten here? Well after school Alan and Shane found me in the Technical Graphics studio catching up with my work. I had decided to make sure that all my work was up to date if I wanted to survive the Consultation day. I was alone so they came in and waited for me.

Unfortunately, as we were about to leave Artemis found us at the car park and joined us and here we were. My mom still liked her which made me mad. She acted as the daughter she never had, helping with the cooking, eating vegan, talking about fashion tips, and all that stuff that Barbie would enjoy.

"Uncle, I'm curious about something though. How did you and Aunt manage to leave your busy schedules?" Art asked

"We just decided to be there for Kiara. It's her final year after all and she needs us around." Dad answered.

I'm not sure if I need you around though. I thought.

Mom looked at Alan who had been eating quietly and said something which made me blush terribly,

"Yes, and Alan you should also call us Aunt and Uncle or Mother in Law if possible."

Alan coughed as my parents both burst out laughing. Shane joined in teasing Alan and I wanted the earth to swallow me whole. Alan and I weren't even official yet. Only Barbie Art wasn't enjoying. After dinner, we all went to my room so that Artemis could tutor Alan. Well, she didn't.

"So Kiara how long do you plan to hide the fact that you are a delinquent huh?" She said as soon we got to our room.

"Can you both stop, please? All you ever do is fight?" Alan said.

Shane nodded in agreement, " Yeah, I can tell don't you ever get tired?"

"Look who is talking? If I were you Shane I would keep quiet because you don't know how your genius friend has been behaving all along." Art continued.

I laughed and put my hands on my hips looking Artemis in the eye, " Do you have to bring that up every time we argue? Is it my fault that I'm a genius?"

"Wow, just wow Kiki. It's always been that stupid sorry card, hasn't it? Some of us have to work hard but all you ever do is cause trouble and get away with it because Shane's dad likes you. It's not fair." Artemis screamed.

"You know what just leave my house, Art. You are determined to hate me no matter how much I try so from now on won't bother." I screamed back.

"That's because you betrayed me. You and Shane betrayed our friendship. You never considered me one of you."

A voice answered on my behalf, " Did you ever consider making us your True friends Art. You know what? Kiara is right. We really should go because it's clear you never wanted to study in the first place." Shane said and grabbed her hand. She tried to pull it away but he just scooped her up bridal style.

"See you guys tomorrow," Shane smiled, "And Alan doesn't forget to call me. We need to hang out sometime." He winked.

Alan closed the door as I sat on the floor and almost broke down into tears. Alan sat down and hugged me tightly. He didn't say anything until we pulled apart.

"Shane told me everything you know?"

"I just wish she would listen you know? I'm tired of everything and I'm trying to build a relationship with my parents. Everything is a mess, Alan."

"Don't worry about those two Kiara. They will sort out their issues I promise and if they don't then it's not your fault." He said.

I hadn't even had the chance to look at him properly at school. He was wearing another black hoodie, white running shoes, and black Skinny jeans. My heart skipped a beat and I noticed that I was staring and quickly looked away.

Alan smirked, "I know I'm hot but you shouldn't check me out like that Kiki. I feel like you have dirty thoughts in your mind."

Argh, this arrogant jerk. I decided to give him a taste of his own medicine.

"So what if I was? Are you gonna...?" I didn't finish the question as I felt his lips on mine. This time I didn't think about anything as I responded to the kiss. The butterflies erupted in my stomach. I ran my fingers in his soft hair and I felt his hands all over my body.

I didn't want him to stop. My senses were on fire as his fingers ran down my spine. At the back of my mind, I knew that if this kiss continued there would be no turning back but didn't care. I wasn't even sure how long it would take me to wake up after the surgery.

Alan stopped kissing me and I realized that I might have stopped responding to the kiss,
"I'm so sorry Kiki it's just that I like you so much but I shouldn't have.."

I stopped him by wrapping my hand around his neck and kissing him even more hungrily than before. As his hands found their way under my crop top I lost all sense as he caressed my tummy. I moaned when he kept running his hands under my shirt.

Finally, the boy with a black hoodie was making out with me. To say I liked it was an understatement, I loved every moment of it.
