The Slytherins howled with laughter. Each of them pressed their badges too, until the message POTTER STINKS was shining brightly all around Harry. I watched along with everyone else as heat rise in his face and neck.

“Oh very funny,” Hermione said sarcastically to Pansy Parkinson and her gang of Slytherin girls, who were laughing harder than anyone, “really witty.” Ron was standing against the wall with Dean and Seamus. He wasn’t laughing, but he wasn’t sticking up for Harry either.

“Want one, Granger you as well Violetta?” asked Malfoy, holding out a badge to me and Hermione. “I’ve got loads. But don’t touch my hand, now. I’ve just washed it, you see; don’t want a Mudblood sliming it up.” Some of the anger I had watched Harry had been feeling for days and days seemed to burst through a dam in his chest. He had reached for his wand before he’d thought what he was doing. Everyone all around him and Malfoy scrambled out of the way, backing down the corridor.

“Harry!” Hermione and I said warningly.

“Go on, then, Potter,” Malfoy said quietly, drawing out his own wand. “Moody’s not here to look after you now do it, if you’ve got the guts.” For a split second, they looked into each other’s eyes, then, at exactly the same time, both acted.

“Furnunculus!” Harry yelled.

“Densaugeo!” screamed Malfoy.
Jets of light shot from both wands, hit each other in midair, and ricocheted off at angles Harry’s hit Goyle in the face, and Malfoy’s hit me and Hermione. Since it had some how split into two seperated curses. Goyle bellowed and put his hands to his nose, where great ugly boils were springing up Hermione and me, were whimpering in panic, and we were also covering our mouths.

Ron pried Hermione hands away as Harry did the same for me. But I sneezed when he did. So when they saw my teeth growing along with me sneezing sardines from my nose they erupted into laughter. I saw Malfoy looking guilty at me as if he wished his curse didn't hit me. But I didn't pay it any mind cause I ran to the hospital wing tears in my eyes. Hermione soon joined me with tears in her eyes as well. After Madam Pomfrey finished fixing my teeth I went to the lake needing some time to myself.

Cedric POV

I walked into the Great Hall and looked for Violetta. I couldn't find her anywhere so I went to her friends and brother. As I walked over everyone stared at me. As soon as I to where they were sitting Hermione noticed me.

"What can I do you Cedric?" I smiled at her hoping she knew where Violetta went.

"Do you know where Violetta is?" She sighed and looked worried almost as soon as I asked. I waited for an answer getting more attention from people.

"Well when she is upset and needs time to get a hold of her thoughts and emotions she goes to the tree by the black lake." I nodded and made my way out there. When I did I saw Violetta by the staring at the lake trying not to cry. Her hair was grey, magenta and brown. I walked over and sat next to her. I pulled out the gift I have been holding onto to give to her for her birthday. I nudged her shoulder softly with a small smile looking at her.
