Felix laid silently unconscious on the ground, you could almost feel sorry for him. As for his boys, they ran like mice into the forest, escaping the horrible fate that awaited them. Peter, Tink, and I quickly went to work at untying each of Peter’s boys. After each one was free, we all gathered around Tink with dozens of questions. “We missed ya Tink!” a boy rang out. “Where have you been?” another one asked. Then, Peter threw his hand in the air and yelled, “Boys, Boys! Let the fairy speak! She’s obviously very tired, but she’ll answer our questions one by one.” Peter was right, Tink looked like she was going to collapse at any moment. She had light blonde curly hair that was tied up into a bun, sparkling blue eyes, a dark spinach colored dress and leggings to go with, and she wore a distraught expression. To prevent this her from falling, I grabbed her arm and slung it over my shoulders. “Thank you,” Tink said. I nodded my head, “No problem.” Then, I let out my hand, “I’m a friend of Peter’s, Stephanie.” Before Tink could take it, he looked at Peter with a “bish whet” face. Then, she smiled and shook my hand, “I’m Tinker Bell, it’s nice to meet you!”
As Tink began to answer some of the boys’ questions, my knowledge about her grew. Apparently, Tink had gotten her wings back, and she was going to surprise the boys at the hideout. Yet, no one was at the hideout, so she instantly suspected that the pirates were up to no good. However, Tink didn’t expect Felix to be holding the dagger. She was so courteous with each answer, who knew a fairy could be so down to Earth? “I still find it hard to believe that Felix would do that to you. You two had each other’s backs from the beginning,” Tink acknowledged. Then, Peter sadly looked down to the unconscious traitor “I don’t know what to do with him. I trusted him, but he just threw my trust back at me. I’ll think of something though.”
After a few more questions, we began heading back to the hideout for a celebration. As for Felix, we just left him there (A/N: Lmao). When we got back to the hideout, Peter started a fire and we had a grand feast. The food ranged from “Ooh, that looks good” to “What the actual fuck is that”. After the feast, everybody cleaned up and we just sat around the campfire. We all just kinda relaxed for a bit, I scooted next to Peter and we cuddled. The both of us stared at the night sky, admiring the beautiful constellations. Suddenly, a shooting star came into view. “Look!” I exclaimed as I pointed at the moving figure. “Quick let’s all make a wish!” Tink giggled. There was a moment of silence as everyone made their wishes, then they continued on with their conversations. I looked at Peter a gently placed my nose against his plushy cheek, “What did you wish for, Peter?” Peter slightly turned so that he was facing me, “That I would always be in Neverland, just waiting.” What? Waiting for what? I just ignored the question and kissed my nose.
Was I really going to leave Neverland? I was so happy here, I had Peter and I would never grow up. But, I had to go back. This wasn’t the real world, and I was going to wake up eventually. I pulled away from Peter and held his hand tightly, “Peter, I have to go.” Before he could protest, he kissed my hand and stood up. “May I please have everyone’s attention? Stephanie will be leaving us tonight.”
.........................
There were tears and hugs all around, I was going to miss these guys. Even though Tink and I had just met, she was bawling her eyes out. She gave Peter and I a small pouch of pixie dust, and we were off. At first, flying was like trying to fly a plane, but I kinda got used to it. As Peter and I went farther into the distance, we waved goodbye to our friends. For, that was the last time I ever saw them. The farther we got into the sky, the smaller Neverland got. It was all slipping away like sand through my fingertips, there was no going back.
.........................
After a few directions here and there, Peter and I had made it to my house. I slide my window open and we entered my room. “Shhh,” I warned Peter as I tiptoed through my room. Strange, nothing in my room had changed. Everything was left as it was the last time I was here. Maybe I’m just going crazy, we flew for awhile. My alarm clock read “3:10”, everyone was probably still asleep (A/N: Not unless you play Midnight Cinderella ROFL). Then, I turned back to Peter who seemed to be in a sticky situation with my window. I giggled and held on to Peter’s hands as I pulled him inside. “Wow, this is your room?” Peter questioned as he admired my large library of books. “Yup, every inch of it,” I replied. All of a sudden, I was tackled into bed. “GAH!” I yelled in a whisper as I was pinned to my bed. Peter was on top of me with his arms curled around me, bringing me closer to him. Before I could protest, Peter had smacked his lips against mine. Without fighting, I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened our kiss. Then, he pulled away and placed his forehead against mine. “I guess, this is goodbye?” he weakly asked.
I closed my eyes and dug my face into his neck, “I’m afraid so.” I cried silently for who knows how long, I didn’t want to let him go. His smile, his strength, his scent, his humour, I didn’t want to lose it all. “Please don’t leave me,” I pleaded. “Please stay, we can grow old together.” I knew deep inside, Peter wanted to be with me, but he just couldn’t. “Do you think I’m gonna leave you just like that, I’ll always be with you,” Peter said as he began to kiss my tears away. “I’ll always be in Neverland waiting for you, and the day I stop waiting is the day I stop loving you.” Then, it hit me. It all made sense, that was his wish. “I will always care for you even if we’re not together and even if we’re far, far away from each other. I will never forget you, you’re my everything,” Peter continued. As a tear slid down Peter’s face, I placed my hand on his cheek and wiped it away. “I love you Stephanie.”
I kissed Peter once again, this time much longer. The one thing I didn’t want to forget was the shape of his lips. “I love you too,” I weakly mumbled. Suddenly, Peter passionately kissed my hands and left. He flew out of my window and was gone. I rushed to my window, hoping I could still see him. Yet, he was out of sight. “No, please dammit,” I cursed as I fell to my knees and cried into my palms. I had finally found true happiness, but now it was lost. Yet, I smiled through the tears. Why? Because I knew that someone cared about me and was waiting for me to escape... to escape to Neverland. Unfortunately, everything abruptly went black and I passed out on my floor. The last thought I had in my mind was “I’ll never forget…”
.........................
I woke up the next morning to the sound of my mother’s voice, “C’mon, you’re gonna be late for school!” As I quickly shot out of bed, I noticed that my window was closed and that I was in bed. No, this couldn’t be…it was all just a dream?
