After we walked a few miles, we came upon a large tree. However, this wasn’t your everyday ordinary tree. The tree was at least 20 feet tall, it’s wood seemed quite old, it was leafless, and each branch was cut off. In place of these branches, there were circular holes that were cut into the tree. One of the holes were large enough for someone to slide through, it must’ve been the entrance. Lastly, there were ropes that completely surrounded the tree. Yet, there was a peculiar rope that was tied to a branch, as if it was meant to hang someone. “Welcome to Hangman’s tree. Come on, theres more to see inside,” Peter said as he disappeared into the tree. There was more?
With that, I followed Peter and sat at the edge of the entrance. “Peter, are you sure this is, WHAT THE FUU?” Then, a mysterious hand grab my foot and pulled me down into the hollow tree. I panicked and kicked at the hand, but I found out that it was Peter’s...oopsy. “Ouch, Stephanie! What was that for?” I stood up and argued, “Well, you should’ve told me you were going to pull me. You really scared me!” I cleaned myself up and checked my surroundings. The tree looked small from the outside, but the inside of the tree was spacious!
“Whoa, this place, it’s…,” I started. There were beds in one side of the room and large chests of who knows what on the other. There was a little area that served as a kitchen and an area that smelled like it served as a bathroom. However, the place wasn’t the tidiest place in the world. I mean, there were piles of clothes everywhere, there were unknown stains in most of the rugs, and when was the last time someone dusted? “Pretty cool, right? Yeah, there was so much room in here, so we decided to furnish the place and call it home,” Peter explained. However, there were candles everywhere, what a hazard.
“Peter, it’s amazing, I’ve never seen anything like this,” I said in amusement. Just then, heavy footsteps above us made the ceiling tremble. “I guess the boys must be home, you gotta meet them! Wait right here while I go get them,” Peter excitedly said. Peter ran to what appeared to be a ladder and exited the hideout. Was I going to meet the Lost Boys?! I sat on a wooden chair and waited patiently for Peter to return.
As I waited, I could hear multiple muffled voices above me. I wonder how they would react when they saw me. I’m not even wearing any makeup, crap! Suddenly, several boys came flooding into the room from the entrance. Peter came out of the group of boys and stood at my side. I abruptly stood up and gave Peter a nervous look. “My fellow brothers, I would like you to meet Stephanie Karnosh. Stephanie will be staying with us for a few weeks until we can get her home,” Peter said as his voice filled the whole entire room.
No one said anything and I felt really awkward just standing there. Then, one of the boys said, “It’s a girl!” All of the boys cheered and crowded around to examine me. What was it with girls? Just then, Peter yelled all of the boys to shut up and the whole room was quiet once again. “Stephanie, I would like you to meet some of my most trusted Lost Boys.” With that, four bulky boys stood in front of me.
“Meet Baelfire, Devin, Felix, and Rufio,” Peter said as he gestured to each boy. Although, I didn’t expect the Lost Boys to look like the boys that were now standing in front of me. I expected all of them to be dirty and annoying, but they weren’t. The four boys wore Assassin’s Creed hoodies and looked quite professional. To start off, Baelfire was about my age, had dark brown Harry Styles hair, plain brown eyes, and the face of a beaten up puppy.
Devin on the other hand looked about the same age as Peter, had dark-auburn flippy hair, hazel eyes, and a gorgeous smile that made you smile yourself. Rufio was also about the same age as Peter, had blackish-reddish Calum Hood hair(A/N: 5SOS!), he was asian so I couldn’t really see his eye color that well (A/N: If you are offended by this, well I’m sorry), and he seemed really serious. I didn’t want to mess with him. Lastly, there was Felix. Felix was the Lost Boy that intrigued me the most and he was very intimidating.
Felix was about 2 years older than me, had messy bleached blonde hair, had gray distinct eyes, and a sinister look that said “I could kill you with my eyes closed”. However, unlike the other boys, Felix had a large scar that went from the middle of his glabella down to the bottom of his left eye. Also, he was chewing what appeared to be...wheat? While Peter was introducing me to the other boys, Felix stared at me like he was a lion and I was fresh meat.
After I met all the Lost Boys, I realized that each boy had their own specialized weapon. For example, Devin had a bow and arrow, Baelfire had a large sharp spear, Rufio had two knives, and Felix had what appeared to be a knock-out stick. Suddenly, Peter asked,” Now, who’s hungry?”
