Peter was quite handsome, he had light brown clean-cut hair and dazzling green eyes. Peter wore knee-high boots, blackish-green clothing, and a tight belt that looked like it constricted him. From Peter’s appearance, he looked like the rebellious type. Peter approached me inch by inch, as if I was a huge spider. As he approached me, he had a face you would give someone if they had a huge booger hanging from their nose. Was he afraid of me? “Are...are you a girl?” Peter asked as he looked at me straight in the eyes. He ripped the dirty cloth away from my mouth and waited for a response.
What kind of question was that? I had boobs! “Yeah, I’m a girl,” I answered as I felt slightly offended. Just then, I felt freedom within my wrists. I raised my arms and saw horrific maroon marks on them. “Here, let me see ‘em,” Peter demanded as he let out his hands. Trusting him, I placed my wrists into his hands, cautious of what he was about to do.
He positioned his fingers on the deep rope scars and gently rubbed his fingers on them, trying to sooth the pain. It didn’t really do anything, what was he trying to accomplish? “Hmm, we’ll have to take you to the Indians, they’ll know what to do,” Peter addressed. “Who are the Indians? Are they friendly?” “You’ll know when you meet them, now quiet!” Peter whispered as he put his finger to his lips.
Just then, I noticed that Killian was still unconscious, we had to get him out of here before the others woke up. Who knows what they’ll do to him!? “Peter, we need to save Killian, they’ll tear him apart!” I pleaded. “Are, you crazy? He’ll tear me apart, I can’t take that chance,” Peter replied. I didn’t want to leave Killian, so I decided not to. I stood in place with my arms crossed and gave Peter a mean glare. “I’m not leaving until Killian leaves with us!”
Just then, Peter flew into the air and said, “Fine, then I’ll just make you.” Peter came behind me, carried me in a bridal-style, and...we were flying! It was the most dreadful experience of my life. My hair was going in all directions and I was holding onto Peter’s neck for dear life. “Oh boy, this is really happening!” I panicked. “You’ve never been flying before?” Peter asked. Well, the fact that it wasn’t even POSSIBLE for someone to fly!
“Don’t look down Stephanie, just think happy thoughts…” I thought out loud. Suddenly, Peter cried, “That’s the spirit! Just think happy thoughts!” With that, Peter dropped me and I was plummeting towards the water, I certainly wasn’t thinking happy thoughts. I screamed and screamed, but then Peter rescued me just before I hit the water. “Don’t...don’t do that ever again!” I yelled at Peter in anger. “No promises,” Peter rudely responded. As we dove into the jungles of Neverland, Peter found a nice shady tree and we settled there.
Peter and I sat under the tree for a while, but then he said we had to move again. Peter said he wanted to show me this hideout and introduce me to these boys, good thing we just had to walk. I’ve had enough of flying for the day! As he walked, I followed right behind him. Peter told me about the Indians, mermaids, and fairies that inhabited Neverland. He even told me what to watch out for and places I shouldn't go to. “Most importantly, watch out for Hook’s ship and his pirates,” Peter warned as he passed through some leaves. What did he have against Killian anyway?
“Peter, why don’t you like Killian?” I bravely asked. Suddenly, Peter paused and faced me. “Well for a fact, HE HATES ME!” Peter complained.
“Have you ever wondered exactly why he hates you?”
“Well, i did cut off his hand and feed it to Tick-Tock…”
Right then and there, I almost blew a fuse. “YOU, YOU MONSTER! You did that to him! You cut off his hand! Why would you do such a terrible thing? He certainly didn’t ask for it!” However, Peter broke out crying of laughter. “What’s so funny, huh?!” I furiously asked. “It’s just...your face is so red! It’s like a strawberry!” Peter replied. THAT’S IT I HAD ENOUGH!
I stopped following him and started running in the opposite direction. As Peter noticed me running, he chased after me. “Hey wait! Please stop...you!” Peter hollered. I immediately stopped and faced him with fire in my eyes. “Wow, you don’t even know what my name is!” “Well, we didn’t have enough time to introduce ourselves on the boat.” Peter explained.
At that moment, I sighed, looked down at my stubby feet, and said,”My name is Stephanie Karnosh.” After I introduced myself, Peter replied,”Well Stephanie, you already know who I am. But, you should know that I'm the leader of the Lost Boys, I’m a kid at heart, and I’m quite the charmer. With that, Peter elegantly bowed and flirtatiously winked at me. Ugh! “Well, I’m still pretty pissed. Do you think cutting off people’s limbs are fun?!” I bitterly asked. Peter rolled his eyes and said, “It just happened ok. Now, please come with me Stephanie. I beg you, it’ll be worth your while!” I guess I couldn’t say no, it was Peter Pan for crying out loud! Also, Peter seemed like he really wanted me to go with him. But somehow, I was going to rescue Killian. Killian didn’t deserve to be innocently left on that ship with those hostile pirates! “Uh...ok I guess?”
Just then, Peter intimidatingly smiled at me and grabbed my cold hand. Peter’s hand was kinda sweaty, but warm. Was he nervous? “YASS! Stephanie, you won’t regret it!” With that, he started walking and I followed right behind him. Our hands were still hugging, but I felt kinda safe. I was especially excited for what Peter had in store for me. Anything could happen in Neverland!
