Melanie's POV

"Marco? What are you doing here?" I said surprised "weren't you supposed to be in bed, recovering from your injury?"
"I was recovering so well that my doctor allowed me to travel" he smiled
I looked at him for a little trying to understand what he said and then I started kissing him. I fell for him once again.
"I love you" I said between the kisses
"I love you too. I missed you so much, Mel"
We only let each other go when the game started. Müller scored Germany's first goal. Everyone was cheering and was really excited, besides the people who were there for the US, obviously.
"Everytime Germany scores, I'll kiss you" Marco said
I blushed, then said "it's fine by me..."
Unfortunetely there weren't any goals besides Müller's on that match. It was a really tough one, but we won, it was everything we needed.
Marco and I got out the stadium and headed to the hotel. We wanted to go and congratulate our friends for the game, and I wanted to congratulate my brother for his amazing performance, but we had to talk about our relationship and this kind of things.
When we got there we went to my room and sat on the bed.
"What's wrong, Mel? Aren't you happy to see me? All the way to the hotel you were quiet. Tell me if I did anything wrong"
"Marco... I don't think our relationship is going so well as you think..."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, we haven't talked in a while"
"But that was because we were apart. Now that we are here, with each other, we will be alright again"
I sighed "I don't think that will be possible"
Marco looked confused "what do you mean? Don't you want to be with me anymore?"
"That's not what I meant. It's just that I don't think you can walk in and out of this relationship whenever you want to!"
"But when were I out of it?"
"When I left to go to Brazil and you stayed in Germany? And do you even remembered about that call you were to receive?"
"Mein liebe, you know that I only stayed because the doctor didn't allow me to fly... I love you so much, Mel"
"DID you forgot about my call?"
"No, I let someone to receive it for me"
"But that was your responsability"
"Why are you so angry? I thought you wanted to see me and enjoy the world cup together!"
"I wanted to but..."
"Tell me! What happened! Exactly, what happened!" Marco said yelling.

In that moment I felt everything wouldn't be the same ever again.
