Next morning y/n wakes up very early. The sun hasn't even risen up yet. Just the lanterns at the thin masts light up the place a bit. Y/n looks for the boy but he wasn't in his hammock. Carefully y7n stand up and takes a lantern. She walkes around looking for the greenie. Then she sees a puny light coming from the hut. She walkes in.

Y/n: Greenie?

Greenie: I'm here.

Y/n sits next to him.

Y/n: What's wrong?

Greenie: I remember my name. It's Newt.

Y/n: That's a very beautiful name. I really like it.

Newt: Thanks.

Y/n: But there's anything else you're not telling me. You can trust me! I won't tell anyone.

Newt: I remember you.

Y/n: Really? Me too.

Newt: I remember how we first met. We were put in one one W.C.K.D.s camps together. And even before that i knew you. We were neighbours but I was too shy to talk to you. And when we sat next to each other in the truck you first talked to me.

Y/n: I don't even remember that.

Newt: What do you mean?

Y/n: When I arrived here I could remember most parts of my past.

Newt: You're lucky.

Y/n: No I'm not. I remember working for W.C.K.D. and I'm not really proud of it. You guys have the chance to change you but I'll always remember what I did to you guys and I'll always feel bad for it. I wish I could forget that.

Newt: You worked for them?

Y/n: Unfortunately yes. But please don't tell anyone because I don't want them to be mad at me.

Newt: Sure.

Y/n: Thanks.

Then y/n stands up.

Y/n: I need to go. I have to get ready for the maze.

Newt: Okay. See you later darling!

Y/n shakes her head and runs outside.

Half an hour later Minho, Ben and y/n start running into the maze. Quickly y/n takes a look back and sees Newt talking to Gally.

Minho: Don't worry Gally will take good care of him.

Y/n: I hope so.

A few minutes later Minho stops.

Minho: Let's split up! Y/n and Ben you go left and I go right and we'll meet at the entrance in 2 hours. Okay?

Y/n and Ben: Okay.

Y/n: Minho!

She hugs him.

Y/n: Be careful.

Minho: You too.

They split up and continue running. From far away y/n and Ben hear voices.

Ben: Do you hear that too?

Y/n: Yea that's Gally. He's calling someones name.

Ben: Let's go back. Maybe Minho knows anything.

15 Minutes later they arrive at the entrance. Minho runs to them but he's not coming from the maze. He comes from the glade.

Y/n: Minho? Why were you in there?

Minho: The others were looking for the greenie and I heard them and went back.

Y/n: We were about too.

Minho: They found him he was in the forest, must has stumbled and broke his leg.

Y/n recognizes that Minho blushes a bit and looked to the ground while telling that.

Y/n: Okay. Is it okay if I'm going looking after Newt?

Minho and Ben: Sure.

Y/n: Minho? Can you show me where he is?

Minho and y/n go to the infirmary.

Y/n: You were lying.

Minho: W-What?

Y/n: You lied about what happened to Newt.

Minho: No I didn't!

Y/n: You did. Stop lying Minho! Just tell me the truth!

Minho: Ask the Greenie.

Embarrassed Minho walks away. And y/n enters the infirmary.

Y/n: Hey, Blondie!

Newt: Hi.

Y/n: What happened?

Newt: I was in the gardens and stumbled.

Y/n: Who found you?

Newt: Minho.

Y/n: Well he told me he found you in the forest. And he was lying. I saw it. He blushed and looked to the ground, just like you did. What really happened? And don't lie to me!

Newt: I- I went into the maze.

Y/n: You did what? WHY?

Newt: I'm scared. I can't remember anything and I've lost everything. So why should I continue my damn life?

Y/n: Y-You mean you tried t- to k- kill yourself?

Newt: I climbed up a ivy tendril and jumped. Then Minho found me and promised me that he won't tell anyone. And I ask you that too.

Y/n: Of course I won't tell anyone.

The, without thinking, y/n just hugged him. She feels how fast his heart beats.

Y/n: It's ok! I'm here for you. And I'll always be.

Y/n feels how something wet drips on her shoulder. Then she recognizes it. It's a tear.
