Chuck (pt.14) ~spicy at the end~

Since Gally's freaking out yesterday y/n hasn't said anything. She gets ready and runs over to Minho and Ben.

Ben: Are you ok?

Y/n nods.

Minho: we're worried about you!

Without saying anything she just starts running. The boys look at each other and start running too.

Ben: Why isn't she talking?

Minho: I don't know.

The whole time y/n wasn't talking. when they were back at the glade, y/n went to her room immediately and didn't came out before dinner was ready and after finishing dinner she went back to her room. Once Gally tried to talk to her but she looked scared at him and ran away.

Newt: What did you expect?

Zart is very worried about her and goes to her room but before he enters he hears y/n cry. He doesn't know what to do so he just walks off.

Y/n didn't talks for a year. And everyday was the same and even if they had a bonfire she either sits alone and goes if someone wants to talk to her or she don't even shows up. After a while the gladers get used to it and don't even try to do anything. Zart never told anyone about that moment when he heard y/n crying. But Newt never stopped trying making y/n talk. He always tries to talk to her but she reacts like he's a griever. But sometime someone catches her looking at Newt with pure sadness in her eyes.

Every morning when she eats before they go into the maze she sits at the other end of the table and Minho and Ben sit at the other end of it. So is it every dinner. After a few months the boys understand y/n's signs when they ask her something. When she stands up or walks away she don't want to talk. If she nods she agrees and if she slaps you in the face you said something really stupid. That only happend once when Gally tried to takes her hand. That was the moment when Gally stopped trying talking to her.

Another year passes by and she had several visits at the infirmary because they want to check her if the changing happens but no single sign of it.

She was now 3 years in the glade and 2 of them she was silent.

One day a young boy comes up he's like 13 or 14. Y/n is 16 now. At his first day he woke up early and sat across from y/n when she ate.

Boy: Hey! I'm Chuck! Who are you?

No answer and y/n is still staring at her breakfast.

Chuck: Why aren't you talking.

Now y/n looks up. That's the first time she really sees the boy.

Chuck: You are a runner aren't you?

Y/n nods.

Chuck: Newt wasn't wrong!

Shocked y/n looks at him.

Chuck: He said you're the most pretty girl he has ever seen.

Minho: And she's the only one he had ever seen too greenie. Y/n your coming?

She stands up and they run into the maze. Chuck looks confused after them.

Newt: Hey greenie! Your coming?

After the runners were back the bonfire started. Y/n sits alone leaned at a tree trunk watching the fire. Suddenly Chuck sits next to her.

Chuck: What happened to you?

Y/n looks at him.

Chuck: Newt told me you hadn't talked for 2 years. Is it because of the freaking out of Gally or because Newt and you broke up?
