The next day I woke up super tired from the party the night before. It was the Sunday before the first day of school, and I pretty much just spent that entire day texting Lexi about the party because I didn't really have time to talk to her when we were still at the party.

Basically, Maddy dragged me to the bathroom and wanted to talk because she was freaking out about Nate. But I gave her the bright idea to just tell him she blacked out and didn't even remember anything that happened. I knew Nate was definitely gullible enough to believe Maddy's lies. He's usually not that stupid of a person, but when it comes to Maddy he just lies to himself so he doesn't get hurt.

But anyway, by the time I worked everything out with Maddy and she wasn't freaking out anymore, it was like 1 in the morning and I wanted to go home. I know that's not really that late for a house party, but I've never really been one to party all night long (without falling asleep at least). So I told Lexi I would talk to her in the morning, and then I drove home. I know I promised her a ride earlier, but she didn't want to leave yet, so she just left with Cassie.

Lexi couldn't believe Nate said he thought I was hot. Although she wasn't as surprised as I was to find out that other boys have liked me before. She said that it's always been pretty obvious. So I guess I'm just really bad at telling when someone is into me.

She also had no idea bout anything that happened with that Jules girl. I looked her up on Instagram, and after scrolling for a while, I found her page. I couldn't really get much of a view at the party, (since y'know... Nate was basically assaulting her) but she's actually super pretty. I followed her because I hope to become her friend. Which I'm sure will be hard to come by for her considering everyone thinks she's some sort of freak now.

Sunday went by pretty fast and the next thing I knew, I was waking up at 6:00 AM for the first day of my Junior year. I can't believe I only have two more years of High School, and then I'm off to one of the biggest cities in the world to go to the top performing arts school in the country.

Despite it being so early, I wake up really excited (and nervous). I was just praying that this year would be different. You know... less drama and petty high school girls. I think that maybe since we're Juniors and Seniors now, people will have matured. But don't worry, I'm not going to get my hopes up. I know this is still East Highland.

I get dressed in a super cute white two-piece. Lexi and I went shopping last week for our first day of school outfits, and I picked it out.

It takes me about an hour to get ready, which was actually shorter than I was expecting. So I had some time to actually eat an apple (I usually skip breakfast altogether). Then, I head out and went to school.

Once I arrive, I realize that I had forgotten to put my stuff in my locker over the summer. I see it all sitting in the backseat of my car, and decide to grab it and just put it in my locker really quick before school starts.

I wait in my car for a minute, checking something on my phone when I hear a knock on my window. It's Lexi and Cassie. I open my door with a big smile.

"Oh my god, you both look so pretty!" I exclaim.

"Look who's talking. You're gorgeous!" Cassie says.

"Yeah, well I helped her pick out her outfit," Lexi jokes.

"Wait what class do you guys have first?" I ask.

"I have English," Cassie says.

"And I have Drama," Lexi adds.

"Shoot! I have Biology," I mope.

"Oh, well I'm pretty sure Kat has Biology too first period," Cassie says.

"Oh thank god, I thought I was going to be all alone," I say.

"Yeah, well the closest thing I have to a friend in Drama is Rue. And I'm not so sure we're on the best of terms at the moment," Lexi says.

"Damn, sorry about that. At least I have Maddy and Bebe in English with me," Cassie responds.

We start to walk into the school from the parking lot.

"Aww sorry Lex, I wish I would've known you were taking Drama as an elective because then I would've taken that instead of French," I say.

"Yeah me too. If I knew you were taking French I would've taken that instead of Drama," Lexi agrees.

As we are walking in, we all see Maddy, Kat, and Bebe walk in too.

"MADDY!" Cassie shouts across the hallway.

She, Kat, and Bebe all look back at once, spotting us and running over immediately.

"There you bitches are!" Maddy says to us.

"Y'all look hot as fuck!" Bebe adds.

"Oh Sabrina, I heard you're in Biology first period with me. Do you want to walk to class together?" Kat offers.

"Ugh, I wish I could. But I have to put all this stuff in my locker first," I say gesturing to the bag I am holding, full of locker shelves, pencils, and other various school supplies.

"Oh okay. Well, you better hurry up the bell rings in 7 minutes," Kat says.

"Yeah you're right, I should get going," I say. "Well, I'll see you guys at lunch at least. Not sure what other classes. But hopefully all of them," I joke as I start heading towards the direction of my locker.

By the time I get to the second floor and reach the end of the hallway where my locker is located, it's 7:55. The bell rings at 8:00, and biology is on the other end of the hallway. So I know I don't have much time. I decide to just throw stuff in there for now and just fix it up later.

When I shut my locker I realize it's already 7:57, and the hallways are nearly empty, aside from a few stragglers like myself. Usually, the hallways would still be pretty full at this point, but since it's the first day, I guess people don't want to be late. Which I'm soon going to be if I don't hurry up.

I finally make it in biology by 7:59... just in time. However I take a look around the classroom trying to spot Kat, but there's some boy I've never seen before sitting by her. I soon realized there was only one seat left. The one next to Nate Jacobs.
