I woke up feeling pretty good about the night before. Of course, I was a little nervous about a boy actually liking me. But it was in a good way. Like butterflies in your stomach type of feeling.
Although I was also still nervous about the fact that Maddy will probably hate me. But honestly, she has every right to. I did rat her out (even if it was by accident), and then totally went out with her sort-of boyfriend even though we're pretty good friends. I would be mad too. I just need to accept the fact that I can't have it all. But I know myself... and I know it's still going to bother me anyway.
Sadly, I still have school to go to today. I'm usually not the kind of person who dreads going to school, but this year somethings just been different. Although it could just be the massive amount of work the teachers keep assigning. They do always did say Junior year is the hardest.
I get out of bed and check my phone to see texts from both Lexi and Nate.

Lexi👯♀️💕-
How was the date?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Uhh, here she goes again with calling it a date. I know technically Nate and I ended up deciding that we did want it to be a date, but it's not like she knew that.
Good... I'll tell u about it at school.
Can't wait!
Nate❤️-
I had a lot of fun last night. We should hang out again soon.
Ah! This is the exact reason I never wanted a boyfriend. Call me immature or awkward if you want, but I just can not handle the whole flirty texting thing. I see my friends do it all the time with boys. I just think it feels so unnatural and weird. I literally have no idea how to respond. Or even if I should respond.
I really do like him, and I want to hang out with him again. I just genuinely have no clue what to say back.
I guess I should just say something simple.
Sabrina🌷🩰-Me too! And we should definitely hang out soon. See you at school.😊
The second I hit send I got so scared what I said was stupid or something. But after reading it over like 10 times, I concluded that it was an acceptable response.
I get out of bed and get dressed and ready for school. I walk downstairs grab a bottle of water from the fridge and put it in my side pocket for school. Then I walk out the door and drive to school.
By the time I get there, there's 15 minutes until the bell rings (which is about the time I always get to school). I get out of my car and make my way inside. I saw the new girl, Jules, in the distance by herself at her locker. I decided that now was a good time to finally meet her.
I walk over to her until I was standing in front of her at her locker.
"Hi, I'm Sabrina. I don't think we've met," I say cheerfully.
