The Ugly Duckling [Jinkook, Minjoon, Taegiseok]

22: Namjoon

Jin: 21

Yoongi: 20

Hoseok and Namjoon: 19

Jimin and Taehyung: 18

Jungkook: 16

Taehyung had been sent to Busan to have a date with Yoongi, Hoseok following behind to guard them, of course.

Jungkook was sent to Seoul to be with Jin, but he left after Taehyung arrived, and Jimin snuck into the carriage while the guards weren't paying attention.

"Oh, hey Jimin." Jungkook waved. "You're coming to Seoul?"

"Of course. I'm not gonna sit alone at someone else's castle while my best friend is on a date," Jimin reasoned.

"I plan on taking Jin on a date though..."

"Namjoon exists, you know," Jimin laughed. "I don't need you."

"Ouch."

The two of them engaged in some light conversation for the rest of the ride, getting out together once they arrived. Jin was waiting there with his mask on, ready to bring Jungkook inside.

"Jimin? What are you doing here?" Jin asked.

"Taehyung's on a date so I decided to come here instead of waiting for him all day."

"Oh, that makes sense," Jin nodded. "I think Namjoon is in a lesson right now, but I'm sure you can hang out with Jungkook and I while he finishes up."

"But Jin," Jungkook whined. "I wanna take you on a date today!"

"We can go after Namjoon finishes his--"

"But that will take too long!"

"Too bad."

"It's okay," Jimin waved his hands and bowed slightly. "I can wait on my own. That's what I would be doing in either Busan or Daegu right now. You two can go enjoy your date."

Jimin quickly walked away, entering the castle. Jin turned to Jungkook and glared.

"You punk. You made Jimin upset."

"He said it was fine!" Jungkook protested.

"What makes you even think we were going to go on a date anyway?" Jin asked, crossing his arms.

Jungkook pouted. "It's nice outside today. I-I thought--"

"You can't blow people off just because you want to do something else," Jin scolded. "Now let's just get this stupid date over with."

Jungkook lit up and grabbed onto Jin's arm, pulling him to the road to town.

"We are walking?" Jin asked in surprise.

"Yes. More time to enjoy the weather and hang out," Jungkook explained, moving his hand down Jin's arm to hold Jin's hand.

"Where are we going?" Jin asked. "I didn't know you knew my kingdom so well."

"I don't," Jungkook shrugged. "We are going to do whatever catches our eye. And I'm paying."

"You're not paying. I'm the adult, so I'll pay," Jin argued softly but sternly.

"Your parents don't give you an allowance worth sh*t," Jungkook rolled his eyes. "I can pay."

"I'm supposed to be taking care of you. That includes paying for things. And no cursing."
