As soon as Jungkook heard his engagement with Jin was being compromised,  he became restless. Jin had to convince Jungkook to leave it alone for a few hours before he went to attack his parents. All it took was a few tears and asking for cuddling, but everyone knew Jin was his weakness.

After a few hours of cuddling, Jungkook demanded to see the letter Namjoon had sent.

At first he was absolutely furious with Namjoon, but he quickly realized that Namjoon was just trying to be with the one he loved, and no one could be blamed for doing stupid things when drunk on puppy love. It was simply just an unfortunate circumstance.

But you can bet your booty that Jungkook immediately started writing a letter back, angrily explaining the situation.

~~~~~
Dear Prince Namjoon,
Dude, what the f*ck! Your dum*ss parents have gone f*cking crazy. They broke my engagement with Jinnie to force him to marry your fiancé. Surely you must have a plan to get us out of this sh*thole if you were going to do something this f*cking stupid?
Prince Jungkook
~~~~~

It was something along those lines, but Jin reprimanded him for all the bad words and made him take them out of the letter, saying he was still too much of a baby to curse.

Jungkook demanded he could leave a hickey on Jin for each word erased, but Jin refused saying that Jungkook wasn't old enough for that stuff, so Jungkook settled for getting a kiss for each word instead.

They sent the letter, fully aware that it would probably take at least a week or two to get a reply, even by messenger bird to hide it from the parents.

The king and queen had set the wedding date in summer so that it could be a beautiful outdoor wedding, and also to give Jin some time to convince Namjoon to come back, as they were convinced that their children were still in contact with each other.

So then marked the beginning of the waiting game.

Namjoon had been in a meeting a few days later discussing possible actions with King Jackson when a bird swooped into the room from the window and landed on the map table.

"What's this?" Namjoon hummed, taking the letter out of the bird's claws. He read the letter and hummed. "So it has begun."

He got out a pen and paper, dipping the quill into some ink.

~~~~~
Jungkook and Jin,
My apologies. I knew they wouldn't be happy, but I had hoped they wouldn't involve other people. Could I have more details on the situation? I've been formulating a plan with King Jackson, but I need to know as much as I can if this is really going to work. Is that asking too much?
Namjoon
Another day or two later, a bird landed on the window sill of Jin's bedroom.
Jungkook had practically refused to leave after the king and queen officially broke the engagement the other day. At first, the queen had Jungkook kicked out to keep him away from Jin. But Jungkook snuck back in through the window, and has been secretly climbing up the castle walls for a few days to visit his beloved rapunzel.
Jungkook had been snuggling in bed with Jin when the letter arrived, and he got up to retrieve it. Going back to the bed, he opened the letter and read it out loud.
Jin called E into the room and asked for paper and a pen, and then composed a letter for Namjoon.
Jin explained the date set for the wedding, which set the time constraints for their plans. He explained everything that they were pushing onto Jin in attempt to persuade Namjoon to come back.
A few days later, Namjoon sent a letter explaining a few of his plans in detail, asking Jin and Jungkook their opinions.
Except this time, Jungkook hadn't been at Jin's room when the letter arrived, causing a delay in being able to reply.
Instead, Jungkook was stuck back in Busan, trying to cheer up his brother Yoongi who had returned from the honeymoon a few days prior, and had not left his room for anything. Not even food.
Jungkook and Hoseok sat outside Yoongi's bedroom door, holding trays of Yoongi's favorite dishes and desserts. They were so concerned, as Yoongi refused to tell them what was wrong, and wouldn't open the door.
Yoongi asked for Jin, and Jungkook sent Jin a letter explaining why he was stuck in Busan, asking him to come visit. But the queen of Seoul refused to let Jin leave the castle for fear of Jin refusing to come back.
Jin wrote a letter for Yoongi asking what was wrong and sent it in a basket full of his freshly baked cookies.
It took three birds to carry, but they made it.
Yoongi wrote a letter back and munched on the cookies in his bed, then pouted when he got crumbs in the sheets.
~~~~~

Dear Seokjin,
You were right, like always. I should have told him sooner.
Yoongi

~~~~~
Those two sentences were enough for Jin to realize the situation. He sighed. Only he and Hoseok knew about what had happened in the past, and he didn't want Jungkook to be upset with Yoongi. He also didn't want to worry Hoseok and make him feel guilty over something that wasn't entirely his fault.
Sure Hoseok slept with a taken man, but it takes two to tango. He was not any more at fault than Yoongi was, and he didn't want Hoseok killing himself over this when everyone was already stressed enough.
Jin sent a letter back to Yoongi scolding him for refusing to eat, and demanding that Yoongi open the door to accept food at least twice a day.
Even as stubborn as he is, Yoongi always respected Jin as his elder friend, and he listened. Jungkook and Hoseok were finally able to get Yoongi to eat again, and Jungkook would be able to start visiting Jin again to resume making plans with Namjoon.
But Jin had something very important on his mind that he had to take care of right away.
~~~~~

Dear Prince Taehyung,
I know what happened, and I know Jimin isn't there to comfort you. Always know you can come to me. I'm still your friend. We all are.
Seokjin.
