Michaels Point Of View
________________

Michael took the beating from Richard and the rejection from Rose as his green light to proceed with his plans. Enough time had been spent playing a ridiculous game of cat and mouse, which in the end he knew he would not win. It was fairly obvious that Rose could not and would not feel the same in the end. In a strange way, she was the only thing that made him feel part human, the rest of him was just this evil force of corruption and destruction. Sadly, he had to finish his purpose as Satans Son. His plans had already been riddled useless once ruined, by those meddling witches. And it would not happen twice— there was no way he was going to allow it. He was going to move accordingly, but first things first. A trip to Louisiana would occur at some point, Richard could come in handy and Rose could be used as a form of bait to kill the witches. Although, a few things would have to be set in motion first. Michael had a lot of very important people to meet, a lot of filthy rich people to meet.
Richard and Rose had been missing all morning, he quickly changed into what he usually wore. He was done wearing comfortable denim, and soft pastel sweaters. Dressing back in his crimson red velvet attires, he called up his driver and began making calls. Meetings were scheduled and money was being transferred. Nuclear weapons were going to be part of the conversation soon as well, at some point.

This information would be kept hidden from Rose, as much as he despised her for leading him on and hanging him dry— he still cared at the end of the day. Part of him was already preparing his long speech to convince the pair to follow him to New Orleans. Of course, convincing Richard was like handing candy to a child, he'd instantly follow— Rose would seem hesitant of course. She had already settled down here, they weren't permanent roots: but she had already landed and dug herself deep. Perhaps a bit of black mailing would work. She did in fact take money from him, a pretty large sum. Did she think he would not bat an eyelash to more than thousands of dollars missing? He wouldn't have, but— it still mattered in her world. Processing all this information on the road, kept him silent. Piecing together how everything had to come together would keep him in his head. His father truly never gave him answers. It was like talking to a wall:
Pointless.

Thinking back to how things occurred the first go round, his father never truly held him on a pedestal where he could have succeeded. Sure, he wiped out most of the population— creatures roamed the earth and devoured souls, but everything in the end did not matter until those women came into the picture. He hated to admit it, but they were so goddamn smart.

His upbringing also had always made him insecure. He always felt burdensome for his Grandmother, from the way she suffered while raising him, to the way Tate told him off, and how he disappointed Ben, his mother would never show herself to him either. Being lost in his thoughts like this was starting to give him a headache. Slowly, the vehicle came to a stop. Michael was promptly escorted into a large grand building. It's architecture was modern, made of black marble. He could see his reflection as he walked past the walls. "Greeting Mr.Langdon, we have been expecting you." A secretary approached him, bowing his head in return for a few seconds she smiled and nodded. "Follow this way please, everyone is waiting for you sir— if there is anything you need." She paused, handing him a remote. "Please press this button and someone will be sent to bring whatever it is you need." Her heels clicked lightly as she walked, two large doors were pushed open.

As he stepped inside, conversations inside died down and there was immediate intense silence. His foot steps could be heard echoing as he approached the large meeting table. Leaning against the head of the table, he stared at every single person in the room. "Thank you for meeting me on such a short notice, as you all know—" he paused, smirking lightly. "It is time to bring forth the era of my apocalypse— and most of you here." Michael scanned the room with his heavy gaze, making sure to make eye contact with every single individual placed on the expensive black leather chairs. "You will all do your part in helping this become possible." In the back of his mind, Michael knew that all he would do— would most likely be, use these people and let them succumb to the fate they created with him. He wasn't going to save anyone, he no longer felt obligated. Although, in the back of his mind and in the pit of his heart— a flourishing Rose dug it's roots into his being. It would be hard to forget her, forget the feeling of his chest fluttering at the thought of her alone. It was something he had never felt before, it was uncomfortable. The jealousy was even worse.

The wind caused the leaves on the trees to flow against each other, there was an echoing song like hum to the way it continuously occurred. The pair had paused their drive to park alongside a cliff by the woods, there was a trail from below that allowed the pair to walk down toward the beach. The view was nice, there wasn't anyone in sight, not even cars driving by. Richard stared as Rose leaned against the hood of the car, there had been an attempt to clean the dry blood on her thigh, but to no avail, she had failed. If anything, she had mostly smeared it and made it look worse. Leaning down below her, he stared at the wound and then up at Rose before putting out his cigarette. Quietly, he gazed back down and softly ran the edge of his tongue along the dried blood. "What are you doing?" She asked, a small laugh escaping her lips. He didn't answer until she got the memo. Little moments like these made him feel normal. He didn't feel maniac, and he didn't feel the itch of his blood lust.

Times like these, he felt as if he could carry a semi-normal life. He could be violent and sadistic sometimes, but it was reassuring to know that he could have some control.
There was an uneasy feeling in his chest, something bad was coming. He didn't know what it was, but he knew it was coming.

"Are you okay?" Rose quietly asked, staring up at her, he snapped out of his thoughts and nodded. "I was just thinking," he paused, reaching up to tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear with his thumb. "I've never felt love." There was another pause, he was attempting to make sure the words would come out right. There was a lump in the back of his throat, his heart was beating in his ears. He could feel his lips going numb momentarily. "I'm in love with you." He blurted. Glancing up, he could see Rose reaching for him.
There was a warmth when her body connected to his, she enveloped his face with kisses and softly, she kissed his lips. From the way the wind danced in her hair, to her dilated pupils. He could feel a sanctuary of butterflies escape from his chest. Richard could feel himself melting into her touch. Everything felt perfect, regardless of how imperfect they were. The beach and the wind continued to sing, Rose leaned into his ear and kissed down.
"I love you Richard."
