Rose stepped forward.
it was over.

She could finally escape with Richard. She could feel the taste of his lips as they got away in his car, she could hear Billy Idol blaring from the radio— picture endless days at the beach staring into his eyes. She was already day dreaming their future. Nothing could threaten their future together anymore— or so she thought. Moving closer to Richard, she was pulled back, he swallowed hard. "We never agreed to your conditions Rose." Cordelia spoke up, her voice was stern. "This man is dangerous to society— and you have developed Stockholm syndrome along the way." Rose was speechless, she didn't and couldn't utter a word. "Don't listen to her Rose—" Richard almost moved, but hands were raised in a threatening manner, if he moved, enchantments would be casted. "What do you mean Cordelia?!" Rose nearly shrieked.

Richard didn't move. After what he saw happen to Michael, he didn't want to end up the same way.

"No wait— please." Rose begged out loud. "I helped you with Michael— is that not enough?" She had stopped crying after Michael was gone, but the waterworks had exploded, it was embarrassing to cry. But she could feel her heart shattering at the thought of Richard being casted away or killed. "It's not enough, I'm sorry for being so stern." Cordelia stepped forward and Mallory followed. "He is a danger, and an offering was made to the one who he follows— Satan has accepted and his back has been turned against you Richard Ramirez." Cordelia tossed a weird red sand like substance on the ground by Richards feet. It assembled into a strange sign on the ground. Another Portal opened. Rose gasped.

"You escaped prison in the eighties— therefore, you are going back to prison in the eighties." Mallory poured water over the ground he stood on. His black clothing was replaced by an orange jumpsuit, chains shackled his ankles together, cuffs rested on his wrists. "You bitch!" Richard spat while attempting to fight.

Meanwhile, Rose broke free and began running toward him, in hopes of getting to free him— to touch him, kiss him one last time. "No..no, no!" a pair of arms wrapped around her and held her back, she couldn't move "let me go..no! Richard!" Her loud sobs echoed over the corridor, she didn't care how foolish she looked. Her heart was exposed, it was being torn out of her chest and she couldn't do anything to protect it. She couldn't do anything to protect him. Tossing punches and kicks, she once again managed to pull away from the young girl holding her back. But it was too late once again. Richard had been pushed back into the opening. She could still see him though, and he could see her.

He stood in an empty visitors cell in what appeared to be a prison, tears silently fell from his eyes. There was a thick layer of glass between them. "He can see you and the portal— but no one else can." Cordelia spoke out, "don't get too close unless you want to get stuck in there as well."

Rose moved forward, the cries leaving her body shook her core. Reaching inside softly, her hand touched the glass— Richard pressed his palm against the same spot. "Don't do this— can't you see it's breaking my heart?" Her breathing became shallow, her lips starting to hurt from trembling. "It's for the best Rose-"
Cordelia was cut off by a sudden outburst from Richard. Cops came into the room and began to drag him away. He was struggling against them while cursing. Richard cried out for Rose until he disappeared from the room. Her name faded out.

Silence.
The portal closed.

Her knees grew weak, and her vision blurred. Rose fell to the ground and cried silently. Cordelia approached, pulling her into a hug. She smelled of daises and sweet chamomile. "With time, everything heals— we can offer you housing and protection if you stay here with us." Her crying had stopped. Everything felt numb, the colors had faded from it all. Rose felt empty.

She was alone, in a different state— so far away from home.. did she even have one at this point?

"It's okay..if I stayed here I'd only resent, I have to go away and grow roots somewhere else." Rose whispered into her neck. "Thank you for Michael.." she didn't even want to say Richards name. "I'm going to leave now." Rose stood up, wiping her eyes. She didn't know what else to say, so she simply took what little pride she had left and began to walk out.

There was a cab waiting outside for her. Rose never worried about money. Richard and Michael had everything settled under her name incase anything ever went wrong. And everything did go wrong.
She was alone, and filthy rich.
With only her cellphone and wallet, she headed to the airport and began planning for her new life.
