Rose followed closely behind Montana and Trevor, every sudden noise made her body react. The blonde in front of her took notice, extending her arm out toward the other smaller female. Quietly, she reached for it and grasped it. After a few minutes of walking, the trio reached a very old looking shack. All sorts of vines enclosed the outside of the poor structure. Time hadn't been too kind to the place, half the cabins were falling apart, and graffiti stained the once clear and stable birch wood.

"What's in there?" She asked quietly, "The others, and Richard." That didn't make sense, didn't they just say to stay away from him? Why were they even going to him?

"Oh..okay." Rose replied, the door was lightly pushed opened. "Fresh meat!?" A man exclaimed, "hardly." Montana muttered under her usual sarcastic tone. What did that mean?
"This is Rose." Trevor announced, Rose smiled at everyone and gave a small awkward wave— then glanced down nervously. She didn't have any idea what was going on. Her eyes examined her surroundings, there was a man laying flat on the ground with his eyes closed. "Richard?" She asked quietly, Montana nodded.

Rose descended her eyes upon the male lying on the ground. He was wearing a black button up, accompanied by a leather jacket, and some dark denim jeans a black belt snaked around his waist. His hair was all over his face, he looked so peaceful. For a second, she caught herself wandering what kind of color his eyes were. "Stop gawking at the monster, he's a horrible person." Montana mumbled. "What? I can't look?" Rose replied with a playful smile, earning an eye roll and smile from Montana.

"Get ready." Bertie said out loud, Rose stared curiously. Everyone slowly closed in on the sleeping figure on the ground, his eyes fluttered open. It was as if he knew what to expect— they looked so dull and unimpressed by the crowd surrounding him.

In the moment they opened, regardless of everyone surrounding him. Their eyes met for a few seconds—he grinned, Rose quickly averted her gaze from the heavy brown eyes and stared at the group. What happened next caused her to trip and fall back on her behind. They began to send blows and attack Richard, he cried out and laughed in agony. Rose watched in terror, her heart beating loudly in her ears. The sight of blood splattering everywhere nearly made her throw up.

No one paid mind to her in the background until they were finished with slaughtering the man. His body looked— horrible, it was disfigured beyond recognition. Rose didn't even realize how uneven her breathing was until Chet walked up to her. "Hey—take it easy." His face was covered in splattered blood, so was his clothes. "Just breathe.." he began to do slow breathing exercises across from her, and quietly, she followed along with his breaths.

She felt like a fish out of water. But eventually, she managed to calm down. Rose didn't know what to make up of the entire situation. The instant the Sun went up, she'd walk off without a trace. But a part of her felt a pang when she stared at the corpse on the ground, she didn't want to leave him there. Everyone kept saying he deserved it, but she didn't understand why. No one had explained anything about him or his past. She did know for a fact that— he was a serial killer from the 80s— but what did he have to do with the group of people? How were they linked to such destiny.

"We're going to have a campfire, you wanna come with us?" Xavier and Montana approached Rose and Chet on the ground. "I think I'm just going to get some rest— you guys can go ahead." She smiled lightly, they all stared at each other and shrugged. "If you change your mind, just look for a fire in the darkness." Xavier flashed his million dollar smile and winked. Rose simply nodded and stayed put where she was until everyone cleared the shed.

She was left alone, it was once again silent. Getting up slowly, she crawled toward the corpse. Her eyes couldn't help but to well up tears, he looked horrible. Sadly on her end, Rose was a huge empath— the view itself was enough to bring her to tears. But to her surprise, weird black smoke began to seep out from the body and surround her. One moment she was breathing fine, and the next she was gasping—coughing and crying out for air. Falling back on her side, loud gags and heaves escaped from her mouth. Her arms and legs flared out for help, as she dragged herself toward the shed door— just as she reached it, everything went black.
