Chapter 6: Going To Sleepover!!

{Avery's POV}
I walk down the hall and up one flight of stairs. Then I reach at Leon's Secret Palace. I knock and then someone opens the door. It's Lisa.
"Hi Avery!" She says and let's me in. I sit on the big pink couch.
"Hay!" I say.
"We changed plans. We're gonna go to Kiki's house and sleepover till Monday because we have no school! I say.
"Awesome let me go pack and tell my mom." She says.
"Kk. Since we can't walk there we're gonna get picked up by Kiki." I say. She nods and then walks out. I stay in the Palace and turn on the fire place. Then I grab a small brown blanket from the closet. This place is so soothing. After about five minutes I drift off to sleep. Zzzzzzzzz
Ding! I wake up to the sound of my phone. It's Kiki.

Hey! My mom said it's okay for y'all to come over. It's 4:30 p.m. right now. She said to be ready at 5 and we will pick u guys up. See ya soon 😘😍.
I text back almost immediately.

Kk. Can't wait! Luv u😉😘😜.
I lock my phone and put it back in my pocket. Ughhhhh. I don't want to get up. I'm so comfortable. Oh well. :(. I get up, fold the blanket, and turn off the fireplace. I walk out the room and back to my place. I go into the bathroom and freshen up. My hair is a mess! It's still a little damp from the rain earlier. I take my hair out of the side ponytail and brush it out. I decide to leave it out just because I can. I but a black headband to keep my puffy hair out of my face. Then I look at my clock to check the time. 4:45. I quickly undress and take a ten minute shower. OMG! I got out the shower and it is 4:50. Kiki is gonna be here in 10 minutes!!! I quickly put on the same clothes and swing on my pink sweatshirt.
"Come on Jazzy let's grab Lisa." I say.
"Coming!" She says. I grab my bags and head down to Lisa's room. I knock on the door. Ms. Jen answers the door.
"Hi Ms. Jen" I say.
"Hi Avery" She says.
"Is Lisa ready to go to the sleepover!" I say. She motions for me to come in and I do.
"Lisa!" Ms. Jen yells. In about 30 seconds Lisa appears with 1 small bag. Then Jazzy walks in.
"Okay girls now that you are both hear I would like to tell you something." Ms. Jen starts telling each word carefully.
"I am going on a trip to California ( they live in a shelter in Chicago) for a job interview." She continues.
"Sadly, I cannot take my little Lisa with me, so I was wondering if you guys can watch her for two weeks." She says looking from me to my sister then back to me. I wonder why it is gonna take so long? Before I can say anything my sister says sure. And then we all hug.
"Since our room is a little bigger than yours is it okay if Lisa can come and sleep with us?" I say.
"That's a great idea!" Ms. Jen says. Then I smile.
Then someone knocks on the door. That's probably Kiki! Jazzy goes and opens the door. Kiki's there!!!
"Come on guys my mom is waiting outside!" She says.
"Coming!" I scream and run outside with my bags. Kiki's mom greets me and helps me with my bags. Then I go back inside to help Lisa and Jazzy. Then Jazzy grabs my hand.
"Aren't you gonna say bye to mom and dad?" She says.
"They probably won't notice we're gone." I say and wipe a tear that trickled down my face. I leave her speechless and load the rest of our bags in the car.
I buckle Lisa up and everyone else gets in the car.
"Girls. I'm going to drop you off at the house and then I will pick up Mckenzie and Jordan because there is not enough space in the car." Says Kiki's mom. We all say yes in unison (all at the same time) and we're on our way.
