The party went on, continuing through the day. It was yelling, laughter, anger and joy. Kenma never knew he could have this amount of joy, that amount of laughter coming out of his mouth. Maybe people weren't all as scary as he put them out to be?
It only depended on the people though.
-
"So, what's the thoughts on the party so far Kenma?" The raven-haired boy rested his head on his hand, propping up his head.
"It's alright." Kenma avoided eye contact.
"Thanks to Bokuto, this party is hectic, even with a small amount of people." Akaashi sighed, "Can you believe how bright he is?"
"I don't know, I don't know him much," Kenma shrugged, "Also aren't we suppose to be focusing on Kuro? It's his birthday after all." He squinted his eyes.
Akaashi flushed up the slightest, "You're right!" He stood up instantly.
"What are you doing?" Kenma looked up.
"Telling Kuroo happy birthday." Akaashi sighed.
"So you haven't told him that today?" Kenma chuckled.
"Nope," Akaashi laughed, "Pain-in-the-ass-Kuroo didn't deserve it earlier." He shrugged.
Kenma laughed, "That is one hell of a nickname."
Akaashi laughed a bit and walked away, going outside to meet the boys who were roughhousing outside. Kenma's smile dropped, he pulled his phone out and let his eyes get mesmerized by the blue light.
It's odd how easily it is to talk to these people.
Kenma moved his fingers across the screen, playing a random game he discovered some days ago. His mind was engaged in the game, it was like he was in it. Until a loud slam came from the front of the house, and yelling woke his trance up.
"Hello?!" A loud voice yelled, "Kuroo?! Happy birthday!" It screeched through the house.
Soon enough a young boy, around Kenma's age came running from the hallway. His hair was bright orange and he held multiple birthday bags, he looked like a party city had thrown up on him. Kenma stared at him in shock and confusion, the boy looked around intensely. He locked eyes with Kenma, his eyes widened and his smile grew bigger than it already was.
"Hey! What's your name?" He quickly jumped over to him and dropped all the presents, Kenma was sure he heard some sort of breaking sound from the bag.
"Uh, Kenma." He softly spoke.
"Aw sweet! I'm Hinata Shoyo," He smiled and held his hand out that was filled with bracelets and bead.
Kenma smiled back and reached his hand out, the orange haired boy controlled the shake.
"So, where's Kuroo?" Hinata looked around, blind from the giant window leading outside.
"He's.. outside with Akaashi and the other energetic kid." Kenma pointed out the window.
"AH!" Hinata jumped up and ran around the chairs, knocking one down in the process. He slid the sliding glass door harshly and stood there staring at them. "KUROO! BOKUTO!" He screamed
Immediately the two boys stopped jumping on a mini trampoline Bokuto had bought, thinking it was a full size one, only to get one that could barely fit one of them.
"HINATA!" They both screeched.
Soon after the screeching, Hinata was under Bokuto's arm and he was messing up his hair even more than it was before. The orange headed boy looked like he was being choked out, his face was already turning a bright blueish color. Soon Bokuto dropped him and Hinata fell to his knees laughing but still trying to catch his breath.
