Chapter 9: Dead

"What? But what about you, Hanako-Kun and [Y/N]?" "When I find your friend, I'll sent him back to where he belongs too.. But.." Hey.. What is he saying..?

"[Y/N] will stay here...with me.."

Hanako-Kun's POV
"What do you mean..? Stay with you?", I asked confused. [Y/N] just asked me a really strange question. "Oh. I just felt like asking!" Huh?? "Geez! You don't have to take everything so serious!" I don't usually take anything serious, but this question just now wasn't something you could just playfully use as a joke. You don't usually say that just because! She must have a reason that's much more serious! "I don't really believe you. If you want my answer to that question, you better tell me the truth!" Let's just be direct and straightforward. Otherwise, she might get away with talking herself out of this.

"What do you mean? Tell you the truth?" Is she trying to play dumb? Because she's really good at it. It almost really seemed like she had no clue what I'm talking about. "You didn't just ask me that because you just felt like asking! I know that much! So, what's the real reason behind such a question?" For a moment she just stared at me dumbfounded, but then she sighs. "Nothing can get past you, huh? Fine. I'll tell you." Good that she didn't try to play dumb for long. "I can't really explain this, but I somehow feel like I'm about to loose you and Yashiro...I don't really know why and I have no proof that it will happen, but I'm just feeling uneasy.."

That was an unexpected answer. To think she would say something like that. How can one even get such a feeling. "So... Will you give me an answer like you promised?" Promised? "I don't remember promising anything~", I playfully teased. "Some man you are, going back on your word!" "Come on, relax! I was just joking." "Jerk!" I laughed. Despite being in a place like this, it feels extraordinary warm and happy. I might like it, if we reached Yashiro and Kosuke a little later. Just a little.

[Y/N]'s POV
What a huge jerk! I feel like he's always playing with me! But I guess that's just how he is... "Anyway, guess I should answer..", he said with armed face. Is he embarrassed to say it? That is kind of cute.. "I'll stay with you. As long as you want me too." Why is my heart starting to beat faster? These words aren't that special.. These are ordinary words that any friend could tell you... so why?

Is it because of his serious face right now? Is it because of the fact that he's blushing? O..is it something else..? This is a weird sensation in my chest.. but it doesn't feel bad.. Something must be wrong with me.. "Would you please say something? I know that I was supposed to answer to your question, but it feels weird, if all you do is stare at my face after I just said that..." Ah! Right..! I suddenly started to think about a lot of things, so all I did was staring to him..! How embarrassing!!

"R-Right! ...Thank you." "No problem! That's what friends are for!" Friends...something I always longed for.. I already have Yashiro and Aoi. And they're really precious friends to me too, but something fells different..deeper.. about this friendship.. But what? And why do I think so?

Yashiro's POV
"What do you mean by [Y/N]is going to stay here with you..?" "Isn't it obvious? She's going to stay in this world together with me! After all we promised!" What is Kosuke-Kun talking about?? Did he turn insane? He just started laughing like a nut-case after saying that and that laugh sounds really creepy. "W-Why? Why do you want to stay here with her? You can meet her at school and at her home all you want after we got out of her! So why?!" His laughing stopped immediately and he started walking over to me.

"You sound like you're really against it." Kosuke-Kun sounds really threatening.. I back away a little. "But, fine..I'll tell you why.. You probably already noticed, but I...I'm not your senpai anymore. I haven't been for a long time..." What..? "Don't get me wrong.. this uniform that I'm wearing right now is definitely mine. I used to wear it. It used to go to Kamome high too. That wasn't a lie. But I don't anymore...I can't go there anymore as Kuho Kosuke.." This doesn't make any sense! What in the world is he talking about?? "Why can't you anymore?", I ask him. "Why, you ask..? Hehe...because..I'm dead.

Haven't you seen my apparition form once already when you got up? I know that you did. Or could it be that you forgot?" It can't be...It just can't be.. Kosuke-Kun is...dead..? But if he's here and owning a whole world...wouldn't that make him the eighth mystery? But I never heard of an eighth mystery... So how..? And why does he want [Y/N]? "You better not be thinking of getting [Y/N] out of her. She's mine." He looks really creepy when he glares at me with those lifeless eyes, unlike his tired looking eyes from before.. "I-I wouldn't dream of it!! I'll just follow the path that you told me about and get out of here!!!" "Good girl. Now get out of sight. I'll make sure your guy friend will follow you to the exit." "Yes!"

I start running out of the cave. It doesn't seem like he's following or even watching me. That's good! There's no way, I'd just run away when I know that [Y/N] going to held captive here for the rest of here life! I run as far away from that cave where Kosuke-Kun is and try to warn [Y/N] and Hanako-Kun! We will leave this place together!! There's one thing that's bothering me though..

I really like this part, since the closeness with the reader and Hanako-Kun is being shown and the drama is increased!
