Chapter 7: Discovered Secrets

Yashiro's POV
"Ouuuuuch...my back! Wherever I landed, this hurts really a lot! ...huh? Where am I? ..Huh?! ..Kosuke-Kun?!"

He just went and said all that corny stuff and I just replied with even more corny things! What the hell! Thanks to that, we have this weird awkward silence right now! Could this situation get any worse? Wait.. I feel like we've forgotten something.. "Hanako-Kun. I have this feeling that something is missing right now, but I just can't wrap my finger around it..." "Now that you've mentioned it, me too.." Just what was it? Hm... "Ah! That's right! Hanako-Kun! I know what I forgot!" "What?" "Tomorrow is a math test! I totally didn't study at all!" "That's what you're so worried about? I don't think that that was it." Really? Hm.. what else... Ah!

"Yashiro!", he shouted before I could even open my mouth. "Right! Yashiro and Kosuke-Kun! Where have they went?!" "I don't know, but we should better look for them together right now!" He's right! Splitting up in a world as unknown as this one would be a bad idea! "Come on, [Y/N]! Let's try this way!" "Okay!" And so Hanako-Kun and I ran in some direction in this unknown cave.

Yashiro's POV
"K-Kosuke...Kun..?" "Is something the matter, Yashiro?" I rubbed my eyes. As I opened them again, he looked normal. "Are you alright?" Was it just me or did Kosuke-Kun look so different a few seconds ago? I'm pretty sure that he was really pale just now! I mean, yeah, he was already really pale when we met him, but that just now seemed like the level of ghost as how pale he was! Also! His fluffy hair looked really like black too just then! Even his clothes were different! It went from our school uniform to some Yukata-like thing with pattern and color fitting of this place.. Did my imagination run wild? Maybe I started hallucinating.. "Yashiro?" "Ah! I'm fine!" I must be imagining things! Kosuke-Kun is totally normal and cute! Nothing else! I need to stop thinking about this!

"Say, Kosuke-Kun, do you know where we are? It's really dark here and that huge hole where the moon shines in over there isn't making it better.." "Ah...I unfortunately don't know, but I recall us going into a door in a tree and sliding a pitch black way down." Right.. that's exactly what happened... But.. "Where are [Y/N] and Hanako-kun?" "They're Not here, it seems." Not here?? "What happened to them?? Did we just get separated while falling down or did some monster take them???" "I don't know myself..I'm just as clueless as you are." "Ah..right. Sorry that I asked.." "No, it's fine." I'm getting worried..I wonder, if [Y/N] and Hanako-kun are alright..

"I know that your probably worried about them, but you should worry about yourself more right now." "Huh? Why?", I ask him before I notice that wherever I am right now is really creepy. And to tell the truth, Kosuke-kun also seems a bit creepy. "Anyway, we should find a way out soon. This place isn't safe.", Kosuke-Kun said as he held out his hand to me. Is he trying to make me feel more safe? Under normal circumstances, I would've loved this situation where a pretty boy is holding out his hand for me, but right now...the fact that this place creeps out more is making this situation less attractive. I take Kosuke-kun's hand and we walk hand in hand through this weird and dark tunnel.

After a while, my heart calmed down since nothing happened just yet. And since Kosuke-Kun has just been walking ahead, without either looking or talking with me. Now that I think about it...Kosuke-Kun seems really mysterious. Maybe I could ask him a few questions..because this silence is really awkward.. "S-Say...Kosuke-kun?" Without sparing me a glance, he continues walking, but softly answers back with a quiet "Hm?". "So...how long where you at Kamome High already?" "Oh. I've already been there for a long time.." "I see...and in which class are you?" "I'm in class 1, third year." "Th-Third..year..?" I figured that he was older than me, but not that much older! Was I impolite to him in any way?? I hope not...! And with that, the awkward silence returned. I don't know, if I want to hear more information, so I stayed quiet and didn't ask any more for the time being.

Out of boredom, I just looked around a bit while still walking towards a certain direction we both don't now. I can't see much, sine the light of that huge moon outside that shines through a few holes in this place is the only source of light here. The light is really weak. Just then, I noticed that Kosuke-Kun had a ring on his finger which, I think, almost looked exactly like [Y/N]'s. Weird.. Did they go to the same jewelry store?

[Y/N]'s POV
Me and Hanako-kun have been running around in this weird place for a while now, but we couldn't find Yashiro or Kosuke-kun at all. Even now, we're still running. "W-Wait...Hana...huff...Hanako-kun..!" "I don't think that now's the right time to take a break! Come on! You're falling behind!" "I don't have infinite stamina like you! I really need a break from all the running! We've probably been running for hours.." "Okay..fine. We'll take a break."

I start to get slower and lean against a rock. "Whew...I'm beat..." I then close my eyes to rest a bit. When I opened my eyes again, Hanako-kun was sitting next to me. Though he isn't sleeping, he kind of seems in a daze. Well, I haven't completely rested yet, so I won't wake him from his daze for now. I then stare at my ring that I somehow have on my finger, even though I don't remember buying it. How did this get on my finger? I'm pretty sure that I summoned some weird blades with this ring too... I gently touch it, but my heads suddenly starts to hurt. W-what is going on??

"We'll be best friends forever! These rings will be proof of our promise!"

Huh..?
