Chapter 3: Official first meeting

"Nice to see you again.."

What..? I quickly turned around and then saw him. The person I didn't want to meet again the most.. He was a little taller than me and wore an old black school uniform with a weird hat. He was right before me and looked me directly in the eye with a mysterious smile. I was shaking and slowly backing away. This isn't real...it can't be.. "I don't think that we've officially met yet...I am Hanako-san of the bathroom. You can call me Hanako-kun." W-w-w-w-what??? "And you are?" I would have ran away right at that moment, but the shock made me unable to move, so I nervously just answered his question. "I-I am...[Y/N]..." "Ah. Nice to meet you, [Y/N]. Now...tell me..", he said while getting even closer. "How can you see me?" What? Does he mean...not anyone can..? "Well?" He's face was now only inches away and I kind of started to get red, since he was a boy. Suddenly the door slammed open and Yashiro was standing there, looking really angry. "Hanako-kun..." "Yashiro...?", I said while my face started to get even redder. What if she'll get the wrong idea... that guy-...Hanako-kun...is towering over me!! Yashiro stomped towards us, grabbed Hanako-Kun's arm and...?! Threw him against the wall??? "What the-?!" "Sorry..[Y/N]...", she then said. "For what?" "For leaving you alone with that total pervert!" Oh...

[5 Minutes later...]

"So...Yashiro?" "Yeah? What is it, [Y/N]?" "I thought we were going to talk..." "Yeah? So?" "Could you explain this then?" Yashiro and I are cleaning the bathroom we are in together right now. "Oh...well..uh.. I thought maybe we could talk while cleaning and um...please don't let me clean here by myself!" "Well... I don't mind the cleaning...but...who or what is he? And why is he staring at us? And also...why are we cleaning at all??" "Well...uh..it's hard to explain..." I believe that too..how can a relationship with a ghost be easy to explain?

"By the way, do you know the rumour about Hanako-san?", Yashiro asked. "No? I just transferred to this school." "Yes...but that's like a month ago.." "You haven't heard of the most famous school mystery in this school?" "Huh?" I turned around. He was right behind me and way too close again. "Wah-?!" I tried to push him away but I couldn't touch him! He grinned and then got closer...my heart started to race again and blush started rose on my face. Yashiro then suddenly punched him off me. "Have I not told you to leave [Y/N] alone???", Yashiro yelled as Hanako-kun got up. "Alright..sorry..." "So...about this rumour, you mentioned?", I asked while making the floor wetter than it's supposed to be. "Well..let's see...uh..there are seven mystery's on this school. Hanako-kun here is the seventh of them." "Oh? Okay." "They say, if you go to the girls toilet on the third floor, knock on the third toilet door and say 'Hanako-San, Hanako-San. Are you there?' She will appear and grant you one wish. But will also take something precious  to you as a price."

"Well...that sounds quite...creepy..", I said while my body was shaking. Just hearing the story made me scared. "Hey! What's so scary about a nice apparition like me who grants wishes?", Hanako-kun said insulted as he flew right before me. "Uh, maybe the last part?? You could might as well take my life as a price if I would ask you to grant me a wish!" "What? How would you know that I wouldn't just take something else??" "How would I know? I wouldn't know, but I also wouldn't know if you would take my life!" "C'mon guys! Let's not fight right now.", Yashiro tried to calm us down. "That's not even a reason!", Hanako-kun screamed, ignoring Yashiro. "You know what? Fine! It's not like I would even ask you to grant any wishes of mine!", I replied annoyed as I turned around, so that my back faced him. I continued to clean for Yashiro's sake.

Suddenly, a ghostly orb flew right past me to Hanako-kun. What the heck was that? "What is it, Haku-Joudai?...what?" And just like that, he flew out of the room in a hurry. "What was that?", I asked Yasuhiro. "It must've meant trouble! Let's follow him!" "W-wait! What?? Why?? Isn't that dangerous??" "But we still should help Hanako-kun!" And just like that, Yashiro grabbed my wrist and ran after Hanako-kun, forcing me to go after him too.

As Yashiro finally stopped, I almost fell on the ground. "Why'd you stop so suddenly?", I asked. "Yashiro?? Get out of here! It's not save!", I heard Hanako-kun scream. I slowly looked up and then saw a terrifying monster right before us... "What the...." That monster looked like a gigantic frog nightmare monster with so many eyes on his body everywhere. It was pinning Hanako-kun with one of his...hands (?) down while every eye of him was staring at us. "Hanako-kun!", Yashiro yelled as she let go of me and ran towards him. "No! Yashiro! Don't!", Hanako-kun tried to warn her. "Don't go, Yashiro!", I yelled as I run after her. But then that frog monster grabbed her with his weird tongue and swallowed her. "Yashiro!", both Hanako-kun and I screamed. But it was no use.

The monster suddenly disappeared without a trace of either it or Yashiro. Hanako-kun got up, since he wasn't pinned to the ground anymore, but even he had that scared look on his face like me. "Hanako-kun...you know where it brought her..right..? She's not dead...right..? You can save her....right???" But he didn't say anything. "Hanako-kun...?" "I...I don't know...I don't know where that thing...went...I don't know...what that thing is...I can't..." No...Yashiro...this can't be happening...

Hanako-Kun's POV
I..I couldn't save her... I don't even know where that thing went...or how to get to that thing.. I failed to save her...Yashiro is...lost...Just as I almost gave up on hope, [Y/N]'s eyes suddenly started to glow and look like the space. "Wha-"
