Chapter 10

Everyone stopped eating, to turn around and gawp at me. I felt my face flush a beetroot scarlet, but my face was not just red because of that.
My face was in the smashed plate of spaghetti! The strands of spaghetti in my hair and the smashed plate made a big long cut on my arm that bled like a fountain.
"That'll teach you to confront me again." She snarled, not very loudly but enough volume so I could hear her.
I lay there for about a minute. Everyone was laughing loudly, some were shouting but I couldn't hear them clearly. They all just sounded muffled. That was good because I didn't want to here them.
Tears seeped down my cheeks and they plopped into the broken plate of spaghetti. I waited for Nat to come rushing to her feet to come and help me up. She didn't come. Eventually, Shirley came over to me to help me to my feet.
Shirley is the big fat dinner lady who works at my school. She has never liked me and frankly I've never liked her! In fact she despises me because every time she says something wrong, I am automatically on auto correct! This irritates her almost as much as I irritate Alexa!
As Shirley picked me up and got me steadily to my feet, Nat was nowhere to be seen.She had made a runner with Alexa. How could she do that to me, with of all people Alexa.
She doesn't care about me like I care about her. She's not a true friend like I am to her. She just had to put up with me because her mum wants her to be friends with me so Nat gets better grades! Nat has used me all throughout our friendship!
"What has happened here!" Shouted Mrs Turner, bustling into the room. Everyone stopped dead in their tracks and laughing! Then Miss Turner looked down at me and sighed!
"Williams! My office now! Now!" She shouted. "And Shirley clean up this mess!"
I couldn't believe it! I was going to get in trouble for something I didn't do!
"Now Moona! This is no joke!"
