We ignored mum for the rest of the weekend and only went near her when we had meals.
Monday was the first day of school. Star had called up the school demanding them to give a new student a place at their school. She complimented them, telling them how wonderful their school sounds. We both knew better of course. They had asked to see my parent or guardian. Star was struck dumb.
"Errr... could you please hold for one minute? Thank you!" She pressed a button on the phone and the said in a panick: "What are we gonna do! They want to see your parent or guardian! Mum doesn't approve and I can't go and neither can Sunny because they know us!"
"I might know someone. Tell the whole tragic story of my parents dying and say my grandma Bea is coming." Star did what I told her, making up a tragic story about my parents dying in a car crash ect. I felt bad because nobody would ever want to make that up because it's so awful.
"Bea?" Star said in confusion after she ended the call. "Why Bea?"
"Because she is the only person who can do this for me!" I explained.
Star applied the makeup essentials and curled my hair. We wondered what I should wear to my first day at school. Star found her old school skirt from when she was about my age. It was quite short. It went up past my knees but I knew people like Alexa and her minions had them up their bums.
"Wow your small! Come on then, roll it up!" Star ordered. I rolled it up so it was at the very top of my thighs. I stuffed tissue in my bras and put on Stars longs sleeved shirt. We both crept into Sunny's room and found our schools white and red tie. Sunny had three of them so I'm sure he wouldn't be without. He shouldn't mind. My outfit was almost complete. I just needed shoes and a blazer. My shoes were simple enough. I would just wear my all black low cut converse. My blazer however, was a different story! My blazer had been scribbled on so many times with the word 'GEEK' with permanent marker pen that there was hardly any space on it! I obviously couldn't wear that! Mum had complained to the school several times as soon as she noticed the graffiti but they told her each time that it was nothing to do with them.
Star and Sunny had to keep the same blazer throughout their time at school so they didn't have a spare. Star picked out her old, plane, navy cardigan that matched the colour of the blazer. Star licked her lips and grinned. She always does that when she's happy and impressed. I've impressed my sister! For the first time ever! I had butterflies in my tummy, nervous and happy ones. Nervous about school, but happy because I looked so great and my sister was impressed by me for the first time. I glanced at myself in the long length mirror. I looked like I should be popular and I would fit in. It is all going to go fine!
I walked to Bea's with Star. That's another point, Star wasn't embarrassed by me anymore, she was happy to walk with me. I wondered what Bea would say, hoping she would agree to helping me in the school. We knocked the big, lion, brass door knocker in 3 quick rapts. That was our signal for 'emergency.' Bea fled to the door in a few seconds and stood there looking bewildered. She recognised Star but pondered over who I was. She peered at me behind her spectacles.
"Hello Star dear." she said, sounding disappointed. Maybe she was hoping it was me.
"Hello Stars friend. Was there something you needed?"
"Silly Bea!" I laughed. "It's me, Moona!" Her mouth dropped. She fiddled with my hair, peered at the contact lenses and looked my clothes up and down. But there was something she recognised about me, which I'm not sure what. I hope nobody realises its me at school!
"Moona.....dear? What have you done to yourself?!" She cried, almost in tears.
"Look sorry to interrupt but there's no time for questions, we need a massive favour Bea!" Star explained in a rush. Our appointment was at 8:40 and it had gone 8:20 and it took 15 minutes to get to school.
"I'm not going anywhere until someone explains to me what's going on!" Bea persisted. We had to tell her the whole story about me being bullied and about Nat and about being a geek and who I intended to be and she had to be my grandma. She eventually agreed to come along. She wasn't happy with my decision because she knew I had so much potential. Even though she was doing something that meant the world to me, she hurt me hard.
"This is the last time, I do anything like this again for you Moona, and I mean it!" She exclaimed on the bus. It hurt me like a ton of bricks! The person who had always been there for me and fought for what I believed in has given up on me! I tried not look disappointed and thought about the new life ahead of me. I made bullet points in my head of what I could get out of all of this:
-Become friends with the popular people
-Get revenge on Alexa and Nat
-Be popular and pretty
-Be naughty
-Have friends
-Get along with my siblings
It's all going to go just fine. Star made her own way into school, attempting not to be seen with Bea. She squeezed my hand just before she left to wish me good luck.
Me and Bea made our way into the office. Me and Star had explained the tragic story to her many times so she knew what she had to say. When we were waiting outside the office, kids walked past looking at me confused. A few good looking looked me up and down and gave me a wink. I smirked back at them and they moved along. Luckily Bea wasn't concentrating then because she was rehearsing the specific lines me and Star had given her under her breath.
Eventually, running late, Mrs Turner came out of her office and welcomed us into her office. As first impressions go, I don't think I look like the ideal student. According to scientists, they have found out that first impressions are very difficult to undo and can often be permanent. That is tough luck.
"Hello take a seat take a seat!" Mrs Turner exclaimed, gesturing at the two seats which have been placed infront of her desk.
"So you must be Charlie Smith yes? Welcome to Brookfield Secondary school. I am Mrs Turner, your soon to be head mistress and this must be your grandma. Bea nodded.
"I will just need your birth certificate and passport and we can get you into the school immediately!" she said with a cheesy smile. I was stuck. I couldn't show her my passport or birth certificate or passport because she would know it was me, Moona!
"We had a fire.... j-j-j-just before the crash my parents were in! We lost everything, including my birth certificate and my passport! Please, I really love school! Please just let me in!" I cried, forcing myself to fake cry. Miss Turner and Bea's eyes were wide in shock. Miss Turner patted my shoulder sympathetically and then nodded.
"Okay! Grandma could you please just sign this form and we can get your granddaughter straight into our school!" Mrs Turner explained, handing Bea a consent form. Bea studied it carefully, making sure her answers fitted in with our story before writing them. It seemed weird looking at Bea's proper name; Beatrice McCarthy! It took Bea so long to fill it out my 'new' headmistress started to get suspicious but nodded in approval when she checked it over.
"Welcome to Brookfield Secondary school! I hope you have a wonderful time and make lots of new friends as you begin a new beginning here!" And she was right, I was going to have a good beginning!
I was lead into my new class by the receptionist. Funnily enough, somehow, they had put me in all the same classes as I was before! Great! I had form now. I had been put in form JY8, Alexa, some of her minions and Nat's form. I wasn't in their form before so I had now clue where it was.
On the way to my form it was just me and the receptionist as everyone else was where they should be. The receptionist stared at me with a scowl across her face.
"Miss Turner will force you to take that makeup off and get a school uniform eventually ya know! She just feels sorry for your recent circumstances!" She pointed out cruelly in her strong Scottish accent.
"Oh, well I see your all heart!" I muttered, loudly enough so she could hear and sauntered off.
"Where do you think your goin' that's the toilet! Honestly, you've only just got here and you think you own the place! Little mites, the lot of you!" She said in disgust.
"I meant to go here thank you very much!" I said furiously and strides into the toilet.
As first impressions go, I don't think mine was good, but see if I cared! She was just a poxy receptionist, what was she going to do?! I took the chance and got out my iPhone. Star had asked me to text her as soon as I had officially got into the school. I knew she had form too but her teacher was nice so I grabbed the opportunity.
Hey Star!
Got in but had to use my alibi of death and blah! See ya soon.

Ps. change my contact name to Charlie💋
I sent the text, applied some more lipgloss and lipstick and strutted out of the toilet. The receptionist rolled her eyes at me and lead the rest of the way, mutters under her breath, calling me rude names.
When we eventually got to my form I looked at all the bored expressions on people's faces through the window. Miss Laurent, (the form teacher) saw us and started to wave. This is it... my new beginning! I can't mess this up! I need to make bad impressions on my teachers, but good ones on my fellow students!
I take a deep breath.....and follow the receptionist into my form room...
