Chapter 18

We stared at each other- which felt like 5 minutes but I dare say could've been 5 seconds- without saying a word. A red rash crawled up Nat's neck, finally reaching her head. This always happened when she was angry. I wasn't just angry, but I was scared as well. This could be the end of our friendship.
Nat scowled at me with her neat, coloured in, dark eyebrows. I put my hand on my hip and so did she. We both looked the same, an angry look on our faces, shocked, hands on hips and everything.
Breaking the silence, Star came flouncing in confused.
"Oi is anyone there or..." She stopped in mid-sentence once she saw Nat. Nat's eyes filled up with tears, which was actually quite scary! Nat never cries...ever! I've really blown it!
"M-M-Moona!" She stuttered. I blushed, my sudden confidence shrinking to the size of a golf ball, to a pea, to nothing! Not a single atom of
confidence!
"Hmmm," I mumbled.
"Why?" She questioned, her voice getting louder.
"Why? Why? Why? WHY? WHY?!" Her voice was getting so loud it turned into screams and shouts. Star watched and Sunny scampered out of his bedroom, obviously annoyed we had disturbed his game.
World War Two was started on 1st September 1939 and ended 2nd September 1945. It lasted 6 years and 1 day! Looks like World War Three is on the horizon and it's never going to end!
"WHY DO YOU THINK? DO YOU THINK ITS FUN BEING ME? DO YOU THINK ITS FUN BEING BULLIED? DO YOU THINK ITS FUN FOR MY BEST FRIEND TO GO OFF WITH MY BULLY? DO YOU THINK ITS FUN MY BEST FRIEND RAN OFF WITH THE GIRL WHO PUSHED ME IN SPAGHETTI? DO YOU THINK ITS FUNNY? COZ IT AINT! OK! AND I WANTED TO MAKE A CHANGE TO THAT!" I screamed at her. She looked taken aback as normally it was her job to do the shouting and mine to cry and say sorry even if it wast my fault.
This wasn't us. My eyes blurred. Nat had a tear trickling down her cheek.
"YOU WERE HORRIBLE TO ME EARLIER! YOU-YOU..." Nat shouted, choking on her words.
"I treated you like you didn't matter! Now you know how it feels!" I snarled.
"DON'T YOU DARE! DONT YOU DARE SAY YOU DIDDN'T MATTER TO ME!" She gasped.
"TOUGH I DID!"
She suddenly lurched at me and started pulling me hair and I pulled hers. Sunny rushed and grabbed me whilst Star grabbed Nat. They both dumped me in my room along with Nat and locked the door. We were on our own...
STUPID IDEA RIGHT!
We sat next to each other on my bed and didn't say anything. I guess we were to shocked. We were both crying.
"Why Moona? Just why?" Nat cried.
"You know the answer to that! I couldn't take in anymore! You, Alexa, her minions! It's too much! I prefer life now!"
"I guess I understand! But it's this," she gestured up and down at me, "or me! Your choice! But make the right one!" She was being so stubborn, so harsh.
"I'm sorry!" I said looking down. "I can't do that!" I admitted. She was being selfish. Nat's eyes popped out of their sockets. I hadn't chosen her.
"Fine! Whatever! I don't care!" She said sucking her teeth. She stood up and headed toward the door.
"But Nat." I called.
"Hmm." She mumbled turning back towards me but not looking directly at me. She was monosyllabic again.
"Don't tell anyone please?!" I begged, twiddling with my thumbs.
She nodded and said, "Your secrets safe with me!"
I knew I could trust Nat. But maybe I was wrong...

Sorry for the short chapter but people were saying to update. I'll try not going to keep you hanging. But let's say things don't go well in the next chapter! Is this the end of Moona and Nat?
