Geek Girl- Becoming the Bad Girl

Chapter 4

"No point asking Lex! She'll probably just be studying her dictionary!" Nicole comments laughing. The gang all jeer. "Ya know last week where you humiliated me?!" she barks.

How could I forget?! In English Mr Worthbeck picked me and Alexa out to do a speech about Romeo and Juliet.

"They...um...in love and, errr, they love each other a lot...and...they...." Alexa had stammered in front of the class.

"Very good for a bottom set work! How about using a bit more A* work instead of F work! Unless you want to be in the "Help and Support" classes with Miss Hays?!" Mr Worthbeck remarked. Then it was my turn. I done a minutes speech using extraordinary vocabulary!

"That's more like it Moona! Next time, try to do it to Moona's level Alexa and try not to humiliate yourself! Now sit down girls!"

I look at the ground and carry on walking the way to school.

"HEY! DID I SAY I WAS FINISHED WITH YOU?!" she shouts! I try to carry on but a firm hand presses my shoulder. I turn round slowly. She pulls me up by the collar of my grubby school shirt.

"This is payback for what you did!" Suddenly she let's go of my T-shirt.

OH NO! WHATS SHE GOING TO DO TO ME?!

Her eyes are as cold as ice. She has a mean stare on her. She turns me round facing the other way. Suddenly she pushes me onto the uneven pavement. I lie there, with my eyes closed, listening to her and her minions jeering. My eyes fill with tears.

"Aww little baby Moona crying! LITTLE CRY BABY! ADMIT IT! YOUR A CRY BABY GEEK!"

"Yes! Ok I am!" I hear myself say! Then I hear the sound of feet walking away from me. I open my eyes. I can see them in the distance laughing! I sit up. I look at my injuries, 2 grazed elbows, my hands are shredded and on my kneecap I have a big cut!

At least Alexa and her minions can't see me cry now!
