After a few minutes, a question from a in my head. "Do they know that I was born different?" I was referring to my sibling and my parents caught on. We are still in our group hug but my mom pulls away to look at me when she says," for your protection, your father and I as well as my friend are the only people that know. I don't know what would happen if the supernatural community found out. They tend to be stuck in the old ways and anything new is considered blasphemous."
I sigh slowly and get up off the couch. My body is still sore but at least all the major pains are gone. My hands go above my head so I can stretch out my back. I hadn't thought of this till now but my body is back to normal. It's a strange feeling not to have that weight on my back. Once I'm done I ask, " So what do we do now?"
"I guess the best bet would be calling Ellie to see what she thinks. That's the friend I was talking about. Anyways, she is kind of a book worm when it comes to the supernatural world. But in the mean time, let's just relax and let you settle into things," my mom says with a slight smile on her face. She seems to be happy and that isn't what I'm use to seeing when she's around me. I smile back at her because for once I'm starting to feel like I'm part of the family.
