Red Mirage
Red as blood that licks my lips
Serpent's venom that tightly grips
Red as blood that flows my flesh
Silent weep that swiftly hush
I sure hope you know
The pain I hid
The tears I stopped
The sorrow I suppressed
The struggles I try to ignore
All the pillows dried up
All the tissue paper left crumpled
All the bottles I emptied
The red mirage that kept me companied.
