My Needs
I was supposed to be the one that blooms in your garden
The flower you should trim and pamper
But I was the grasses that grow in meadows
Was not taken care of but still strive to live on its own
I crave for the warmth and comfort
Even with your thorns I try to cuddle
I badly in need of wrap and shelter
And all that I was given of are fence and isolation
It was all I needed yet it was never provided
And when I thought of what's lacking
They tell me I had no sense of gratitude
When the truth is I was just needing.
