Beauty
All my life I wanted the world to like me
I wanted them bow down to my existence
Treat me like I'm above and mighty
I think to myself as high above sea clouds
But then, the clouds would drop me
Reminding that I was too low to even dream
I wanted to be the stars in the sky
But the world has always told me my place
I'm just that fine sand in the seashore or below sea waters
I was never high above the sun
Not even close to the vast sky
Because they've always believed, I'm below
I started wearing their adjective
Thinking to myself, maybe I was too dreamy
That I'd forgot my reality
But I was strike by lightning bolt
Realizing, indeed I was below sea waters
Covered with darkness and depth but nevertheless, still a beauty.
