Trigger warning: blood(?), death

Nightfall. By now, Matthew knew where to go. After all, he had been going through the door for two weeks now. Not much else has changed physically, except now he had a bunny tail. So that's been fun.

It was eerily quiet when he went through the door. Nothing stirred. No one came to greet him.

"Maybe they're out?" Matthew wondered. He hadn't realized he'd never seen an Alter Ollie, Flay, Q, Norman, Pancho, or even Vincent. Did they not exist?

He stepped out of the door. The breeze didn't feel as cold and brisk as he would have liked, but it would do.

Looking to his left, he saw the same humanoid doll that he had tripped over back then. It was just sitting there in the path, smiling almost menacingly. He watched as a small orange bunny came close, and sniffed at it.

Snap!

Before Matthew could say or do anything, the doll reached out its tiny hands and snapped the bunny's neck. Blood, no, dust, poured from its mouth as it swole up in size and became a dull gray color.

The doll stood up, brushing the dust off.

"Do you see now?" Matthew jumped back as the doll began to talk.

"W-what are you?!" he managed to pull his wits together to squeak out a sentence.

"I was human. Just like you. Well," it glared at his felt rabbit ears and felt hands, "just like you were."

"That doesn't explain anything!" Matthew shrieked as the doll came closer.

"I died here, you know." The doll interrupted. "That thing killed me. I possessed this body to escape its wrath. There were others before me. And if you don't leave..." Its two toned gaze went out to the field.

"Turn that flashlight on, will you?"

Matthew shakily nodded, pulling Norman's flashlight out of his pocket and turning it on.

The light didn't shine on wheat. Oh, no. It shined on graves.

Tombstones littered the area, some with names, some without. The older they were, the more damaged they appeared to be.

The newer ones, Matthew could read the names on them. Cassidy, Charlotte, Vanessa, Jeremy...
