"A public service announcement..."
He heard Sam's voice ring out from the speakers strewn about the land. He didn't even know why he was back here, but...he felt like he needed to.
"As I'm sure you're all aware, a couple of days ago there was a security breach at the prison, causing citizen Tommyinnit to be forced to stay in Dream's cell for the remainder of the week."
He looked in the direction of the prison.
I wasn't aware of that...?
"Well...there has been a fatality..."
That caused his breath to hitch. Without realizing it, he started sprinting towards the prison.
"Last night...Dream beat Tommy to death..."
Suddenly, his world stopped.
The kid...gone...?
The annoying child that looked up to him as if he was his older brother...dead...?
The kid that he protected from Dream...getting beaten to a bloody pulp by the very man that he despised?
He stared at the large prison in the distance as he felt a single tear fall down his cheek. Though he'd never admit it, not even to himself, some part of him did genuinely care for the kid.
"So long.....Theseus....."
