This takes place in the same AU of ATOTK, though idk if I'll put it in one of the sequels/prequel. I just got this idea from a song that came on (and one of Being_Delirious oneshots also influenced it)
Also this takes place a few months before the main plot (basically Techno capturing George and Tommy betraying Tubbo happens at the same time), a week before the whole kidnapping George thing.
Also, to those who haven't read A Tale Of Two Kings, the last name I use for Dream most likely isn't his real last name, I'm just using it because it sounds noble and it fits with Clay (and it isn't Dream or Taken)

It was a grand lavish ball the king held, allowing everyone in the kingdom, and outside as well, to join.
He wouldn't say this aloud, but the reason for the ball was to find the princess reincarnate.
It was a lavish masquerade ball, lots of men in suits and various animalistic masks, and women in gowns and beautiful masks to match.
"Dude, talk to her!" Dave heard a couple of his guards talking. He turned to see Jacobs left-hand-man, Wilbur, and another guard, Phil. The blonde gestured to a girl the brunette was eyeing. "I can assure you, she feels the same."
"Yeah, right." The brunette crossed his arms, looking back towards the king. "And besides, what if she's the princess reincarnate?"
"She isn't." The King butt in. "There's some sort of sign that indicates exactly who the princess reincarnate is, so I assure you, that girl is not the princess."
Wilbur looked back in the girls direction, practically melting when she looked his way, waving.
"Ask her to dance." Phil said. "You'll feel better, I swear."
"Even if she rejects me...?"
The blonde laughed, pushing the brunette towards the girl. "She won't!"
Dave watched as the brunette stumbled shyly to a blonde woman in a pale lilac gown and beautiful lilac mask adorned in silver markings and butterflies.
