"I do not want to look at another textbook for the rest of my life," Cami grunted while slowly slamming her head again and again onto her locker. I nodded and laughed, feeling an imaginary weight lift off of my shoulders now that we were done with this week, our exams, and could finally go on our winter break.
"Have the guys decided where they want to go?" I asked as we walked towards the exit.
"Carlos said that his family owns some vacation home in the woods a few hours away," she said excitedly.
"When are we leaving?" I asked as we walked outside, the cold wind making me shiver.
"Monday would be best. Considering you and Aaron have his parents dinner tomorrow night, and Carlos wants me to meet his parents on Sunday," She said absentmindedly.
"Hey, they're going to love you," I smiled warmly at her.
"What if they don't? What if they want him to be with a Spanish bombshell and not some random mixed chick?" She sighed while leaning back on a palm tree.
Cami was always an enthusiastic and positive person, and even though it was rare, I hated seeing her like this.
"You are not 'some random mixed chick'. You're Camilla Grey and an amazing person, Spanish or not. Though his parent's opinion is a form of validation, I know Carlos doesn't really care about whether or not they support the both of you being together. He really likes you, Cami," I smiled at her as she sighed and nodded.
"You're right," She said while looking behind me, her face lighting up, "Speak of the devil," She smiled before walking into Carlos' arms.
He gently kissed her on the forehead, making me smile.
I let out a surprised squeak as I felt arms wrap around my waist and pull me backwards.
"How were exams?" Aaron asked while kissing my cheek. I felt goosebumps appear on my skin before giggling, his hot breath tickling me.
"They were good. I'm just glad we got them over with," I said while turning around and brushing some of his unruly hair out of his face, as he nodded.
"Are you excited for your birthday?" He smiled down at me.
"Definitely excited," I said while turning towards both Cami and Carlos.
"We're going to get going now. We'll see you guys on Monday!" Carlos said before taking Cami's hand in his. My friend blew me a kiss before walking away.
"This break is going to be amazing," I smiled as Aaron and I walked towards his car.
"It won't be boring, that's for sure," He chuckled as we both got in.
Aaron leaned his head back against the headrest before turning towards me and pursing his lips.
I had noticed the eye bags under his eyes, one thing I always felt guilty of."I'm sorry for not sleeping at your place this week," I pouted as he yawned.
"Don't be sorry, you're not responsible for my lack of sleep, babe," He hummed while running his hand through his hair.
"I know... I can't help but feel bad though," I said as he started the car.
Aaron shot me a reassuring smile before placing his hand on my thigh."Don't," He replied simply as he pulled out of the parking lot.
"We're going to go get you a dress for tomorrow, hmm?" He asked, a glimpse of silver appearing from inside of his mouth. Ever since he had gotten his tongue piercing I felt as though he had gotten a dozen times more attractive, something I never would've thought possible.I brought myself back to reality while shaking my head before answering, "Yeah, please," I smiled as he nodded.
"Do you know where you want to go?" He asked, genuinely intrigued.
