"It's okay, it's alright. He hasn't seen us, right?" I asked, hoping to disappear for the time being.
"Nope," Tyler said as he popped the 'p' before holding back a laugh,
"You should see yourself," He chuckled as I shot my middle finger up."I just can't deal with him right now," I muttered as Ty shrugged.
"Don't you think that dealing with him is what the two of you need? You know, for closure?" He said as I sighed.
Truth was, I was scared of having to face Aaron again.
I was scared that he'd bring up feelings in me that I had long let go of.
I was scared that he'd make me feel the things I had been longing to feel.
I couldn't do that to Tyler.I looked at him, his gaze seeming softer than it would usually be. I had noticed that even though he was going to be the new face of a well-known corporation he still kept his piercings.
I felt my lips twitch into a smile, glad to see that he still didn't care about what people thought of him.
It felt as though not seeing Aaron for over a year made him so much more beautiful than when I had last looked at him. His presence seemed more imposing and mature, though I guess it's what you needed to expect from someone like him.
His eyes suddenly left the two men in front of him and met with mine, a surprised look writing itself all over his face.
I quickly averted my gaze back to Tyler.I looked up at the sky and sighed,
"Please take me now," I groaned as Ty laughed."What's wrong?" He asked as I threw my head back in annoyance.
"He saw me," I said as Ty took a sip from his glass before grinning.
"Chin up, you two need this," He said as I glared at him, spotting Aaron's tall figure walking over to us.
"Oh God, he's coming over!" I panicked as Ty held back a laugh.
"I'm going to maim you," I whispered to him as Aaron took the last few steps he needed to be standing in front of us."Havoc... and Tyler," He said, no real sign of any emotion on his face.
"Long time no see, Romano," Ty grinned as Aaron nodded.
"Yeah, last time I saw you you were hitting on my girlfriend," He chuckled dryly as I glared at him.
Tyler rolled his eyes.
"It's good to see you," I said as his gaze met mine, a familiar warmth spreading throughout my body.
"You look good," He stated matter-of-factly. I smiled and thanked him.
His compliment immediately made my body burn in confidence."What brings you to New York?" Ty asked as Aaron shrugged.
"Business meetings here and there. I'm leaving next Friday," He replied, though it seemed more like his second sentence was directed towards me.
"Oh," I said as Ty nodded.
Aaron glanced back at the two men he was with and the blond girl, who were seemingly bidding each other goodbye.
He waved at the two men as they walked towards the exit. The blond girl walked over to Aaron, before placing herself right next to him.
"This is Madison, my assistant," Aaron said as Madison giggled and looked up at him.
"That's it, hmm?" She grinned.
I felt my heart tighten around itself.Aaron shot her a cold stare as she shrugged.
