Mr. Lafayette was an attractive man in his late forties, he had dark black hair similar to Aaron's and bright green eyes. He was always extremely well kept and had a slight stubble, making him more intimidating than he already was.
When we finally got to his office after what felt like years, he closed the door before sitting down in his black leather armchair.

"I need an explanation," He sighed tiredly while leaning on his desk.

"Sir—" Adam started, taking the tone he always would when pretending to be the campus golden boy.

"Young man!" Mr. Lafayette said abruptly.
I widened my eyes at his outburst.

"Miss Everleigh, please enlighten me," He sighed while rubbing his temples.

I gulped and took a deep breath, telling everything to our dean. I needed to make him understand that Aaron wasn't the villain in this story. Sure, he handled it less than gracefully but he had a somewhat valid reason to.

"She's lying! I would never touch her!" Adam screamed in defense.

"STOP SPEWING SHIT, COCKSUCKER! ANYONE CAN SEE THE BRUISES YOU LEFT ON HER!" Aaron roared while slamming his hands on Mr.Lafayette's desk.

"Aaron. Calm down," The man said while rolling his eyes. I was surprised by how close and familiar the two were. That was definitely an advantage in this situation.

"Miss Everleigh, is everything you're telling me the truth?" Mr. Lafayette asked while running his hands over his face.

"Yes it is, sir," I nodded, shifting my weight on one leg and the other to try to calm my nerves.

"Adam?"

"Yes sir?" Adam answered, obviously anxious.

"You are no longer a student that is welcome on my campus. I suggest you find a way to quickly get back to your studies, just not here." The man said with a stern look.

"What? But you can't expel me so close to the end of the first term!" Adam protested.

"I can and I will. What I will not do is tolerate violence in my university."
Mr.Lafayette turned his gaze to me, an apologetic look on his face.
"Miss Everleigh, do you want to press charges?" He asked.

"No."

"Yes."

I looked over at Aaron who shot me an authoritative look.
"Yes, she wants to press fucking charges," He said.
I rolled my eyes and looked back at the dean.

"It would take too much time and energy, as long as I don't ever have to see his face again, I'm fine," I shrugged.

"Then it's settled, go home Adam. I'll be calling your parents."

"This is bullshit! Fuck you and your prude bitch!" Adam roared at Aaron.

"What the fuck did you just say?" He asked while taking a step closer to Adam.

"GET OUT!" Mr. Lafayette scolded while slamming his fist on his desk.
Adam looked at me with disgust before heading out.

I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my chest.

"Aaron," Mr. Lafayette said, a now disappointment look settling on his face.

"What?" Aaron snapped.

"You're suspended for two weeks."

I widened my eyes as the words left Mr. Lafayette's mouth.

"But sir—"

"Miss Everleigh, I understand your concern, but your hotheaded boyfriend was in that fight too. I cannot and will not let that slide. We'd be lucky if the abusive little shit's parents are as kind as you are and don't press charges either," He sighed while taking a sip of his coffee.
